National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), is a joint sector company of Govt. of India and Participating State Governments formed for implementation of High Speed Train Corridor Project in India.

It is one of the most ambitious project in rail infrastructure sector, to give economy a boost and to build first ever high-speed rail corridor of India, between Mumbai-Ahmedabad. The company invites application from the regular/contractual officers/managers working in Central Public Sector Undertakings (or SPVs)/Metro Railways/Private Sector for the post of Joint General Manager or Deputy General Manager (Quantity Surveyor) on absorption/deputation basis at its Corporate Office at New Delhi:-

Education Qualification

Essential: B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering from recognized university.

Desirable: Post Graduate Programme/Professional Certification Course in Quantity Surveying or Contract Management (FIDIC) from reputed professional institute.

Eligibility criteria for absorption

For the post of Joint General Manager (Quantity Surveyor) when operated in E6

  1. (A) 13 years post qualification work experience and
  2. (B) Working in analogous grade or working in Rs 32900-58000 (IDA E5) or

Minimum 4 years in Rs 29100-54500 (IDA 4)

  1. (C) Should have experience of 6 years in Pre and Post contract works in Contract Department.
  2. (D) The candidates from private sector applying for the position in this grade should have annual salary of Rupees 18 lacs or above.

For the post of Deputy General Manager (Quantity Surveyor)

  1. (A) Minimum 11 years post qualification working experience. and
  2. (B) Working in analogous grade or working in (IDA E4 29100-54500) or

Minimum four years working in (IDA E3 24900-50500)

  1. (C) Should have experience of 5 years in Pre and Post contract works in Contract Department.
  2. (D) The candidates from private sector applying for the position in this grade should have annual salary of Rupees 14 lacs or above.

Eligibility Criteria for Deputation

For the post of JGM (Quantity Surveyor) when operated in E6

  1. (A) Minimum 13 years work experience and open to officials working in analogous grade or working in grade Rs 32900-58000 (IDA E5)
  2. (B) The candidate should have experience of 6 years in Pre and Post contract works in Contract Department.
  3. (C) Deputation would be for a period of 5 years.

For the post of DGM (Quantity Surveyor) when operated in E5

  1. (A) Minimum 11 years work experience and open to officials working in analogous grade or working in grade Rs 29100-54500 (IDA E4)
  2. (B) The candidate should have experience of 5 years in Pre and Post contract works in Contract Department.
  3. (C) Deputation would be for a period of 5 years

Mode of Selection

  1. 1. Shortlisted candidates would be required to make a small presentation on the jobs handled by them and their experience in the areas detailed in the job description of the post
  2. 2. Interview

Job Description

The officer will be expected to perform following functions :-

  • Quantity Take off From the Drawings Like PCC, RCC, Reinforcement, Shuttering etc.

  • Quantity Take off From the Architectural Drawings (Like Brickwork, Plaster, Painting, Misc Work Etc.)

  • Estimation of All Kinds of Civil Works (Like Buildings, Roads and Railway works)

  • Costing Techniques of All Kinds of Civil Works (Concrete work, Brickwork, Earthwork, Finishing Work, Wood Work, Steelwork, Demolishing Works Etc.)

  • Labour Output Analysis.

  • Machinery Output Analysis as per Market Standards

  • Drafting of BOQ (Bill of Quantity)

  • Rate Analysis of All Kinds of Civil Works

  • Construction Billing Procedures from Client Side as well as Contractor Side

  • Construction Management of Contracts under FIDIC GC

  • Any other job assigned by the management.

For Absorbees :- The candidates applying for absorption should submit their application to General Manager/HR as per enclosed application form.

For Deputationists :- The candidate applying for deputation should submit their application through proper channel to General Manager/HR as per enclosed application form requesting their parent organisation to forward their application along with NOC, D&AR and Vigilance Clearance and APARs ratings for the preceding 03 years to NHSRCL. For proper appreciation of APAR, as applicable, the organisation should forward their guidelines for determining the rating criteria.
