Advt No.20/2018 : Appointment of Clinical Research Fellow

We seek a qualified medical doctor with postgraduate training in Clinical Infectious Diseases or Clinical HIV Medicine for a 2 year commitment as a Clinical Research Fellow. The candidate is expected to join full time by July 1, 2018.

Essential requirements:

1. MBBS Degree

2. Completion of House Surgeoncy/Internship

3. 1-3 years of post MBBS Clinical training in Infectious diseases or HIV medicine

4. Ability to commit full time for the next 2 years

The selected candidate will be expected to:

1. Serve as a core member of the team in setting-up and running the clinical research operations in India and Africa.

2. To contribute significantly to study design and implementation of multiple projects.

3. Lead clinical and epidemiological data collection, analysis, and synthesis.

4. Keep abreast with new developments and stay up-to-date with the current literature.

5. To actively participate, present at, and organize seminars and progress meetings.

6. Take the lead in drafting research and other project reports.

7. To develop relevant research teaching and management skills

8. Play an active role in writing up proposals, and scientific papers communicating the results of the project.

Additionally, the candidate will be expected to remain active as a clinician and maintain an active practice license.

The candidate will be under the primary mentorship/supervision of Dr. Ramakrishna Prasad, Visiting Clinician Scientist - Infectious Diseases, NCBS.

Remuneration: Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Not exceeding Rs. 35,000/- per month
