ENGAGEMENT OF RETIRED ENGINEERS FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL) ON CONTRACT BASIS.

Applications are invited from Retired Engineers of Electrical for appointment to the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical) on contract basis in Employees State Insurance Corporation (E.S.I.C), Regional Office, Guwahati for monitoring of its project works in North eastern States, preparation/scrutiny of all estimates, tendering and supervision of repairs and maintenance works. The terms and conditions of engagement on Contract basis are as follows:

1. Post Junior Engineer (Electrical)
   
   
2. Eligibility For the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical) who were Junior Engineer (Electrical) or above at the time of retirement from central/ State PWD Department/ Central or State Public Sector Undertaking/ Autonomous Body.
   
   
3. Qualification a) Degree/Diploma in electrical Engineering from recognized University/Institution. b) Only person who were Junior Engineer or above at the time of retirement from central/ State PWD Department/ Central or State Public Sector Undertaking/ Autonomous Body are eligible. Maximum Age: Not exceeding 63 years as on closing date of applications invited.
   
   
   1. Remuneration A consolidated monthly remuneration for retired employees from pensionable govt. employment, as per extent govt. norms, admissible amount would be computed by deducting pension amount from their last drawn salary.
      
      
   2. For retired employees from non-pensionable Govt./Semi-govt. Employment like Autonomous Bodies, PSUs etc. the following consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 33,630/-would be admissible.
4. Period Of Contract Initially for 1(One) year which will be extendable further on yearly basis, based on satisfactory performance. The retired engineers can be reemployed up to the age of 65 years as per Govt. norms.

5. Selection Process The selection process shall be through Personal interview to be held at Regional office, Guwahati, ESIC, Panchdeep Bhawan, Bamunimaidam, Guwahati-781021, Assam. The Individuals must be medically fit, motivated and dynamic to produce time bound projects. No TA/DA shall be paid for appearing in the Personal Interview. The engagement shall be purely on contract basis for fixed period of one year and the selected candidates shall have to sign an agreement with ESIC.

2. The Call Letters for Personal Interview shall be issued to the eligible individuals and on selection; the candidate shall have to produce the Medical Fitness Certificate issued by the CMO, State Govt./ESIC before joining the Corporation.
   
   
3. The application in Annexure-1 should be accompanied with two self attested recent coloured passport sized photographs one pasted on the application form at the space provided for it and another clipped with the application form.
   
   
   1. The applicant should attach with the application:
      
      
      1. The photocopy of the certificates to the effect of proof of age.
         
         
      2. The self attested photo copies of the certificates of Degree/Diploma to the effect of proof of educational qualifications.
         
         
      3. The self attested photo copies of certificates to the proof of experience in the related field of work.
         
         
      4. The self attested photo copy of Pension Pay Order (PPO).
         
         
      5. The self attested photocopies of the caste certificate and
         
         
      6. One self addressed envelope (size 4x 9).
         
         
4. The application incomplete in any respect and received after the due date shall be liable to be rejected.
   
   

Merely fulfilling the minimum prescribed qualifications and experience shall not vest any right on candidate for being called for the Personal Interview. The decision of the ESI Corporation Regional Office, Guwahati, shall be final.
