Employees State Insurance Corporation is a statutory body constituted under an Act of Parliament (ESI Act 1948).

A walk-in-interview will be held for engagement /appointment of Resident Medical Officers and Part time Specialist/on contract tenure basis in the ESIC MEDICAL COLLEGE & PGIMSR & ESIC Model Hospital, KK Nagar, Chennai-78 as per the schedule below.

REQUIREMENT OF ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS, AGE AND OTHER TEACHING EXPERIENCE ETC

Eligibility	JUNIOR RESIDENT/TUTOR
Age as on date of Interview	Not exceeding 30 Years (Relax able for SC/ST/OBC/PWD) as per rules
Educational Qualification	1. MBBS Degree from MCI Recognized Medical College. For Junior Resident in Dentistry BDS Degree from DCI Recognized Dental College 2. Should have registered with MCI or State Medical Council / State Dental Council or Dental Council of India as applicable

Eligibility	SENIOR RESIDENT
Age as on date of Interview	Not exceeding 37 years (Relax-able for SC/ST/OBC/PWD as per Rules). As per MCI norms SR should be below 40 years.
Educational Qualification	1. MBBS from a recognized Medical college. 2 Qualifications and Experience as per Teachers Eligibility Criteria available in MCI website for MD/MS and DNB. Department Qualification ICU M.D in General Medicine from MCI recognized Medical College. Biochemistry M.D in Biochemistry from MCI recognized Medical College. Paediatrics M.D in Paediatrics from MCI recognized Medical College. Dentistry MDS from DCI Recognized College. General Surgery M.S in General Surgery from MCI recognized Medical College. O & G M.D/M.S in O & G from MCI recognized Medical College. Radio-diagnosis M.D in Radio diagnosis from MCI recognized Medical College. Psychiatry MD Psychiatry from MCI recognized Medical College. Educational Qualification	1. MBBS from a recognized Medical Institution. 2. DM/MCH in respective super speciality from MCI recognized Medical College. 3. Should have registered with MCI. 4. Retired Specialist are also eligible to apply.

EMOLUMENTS :

Rs. 82000/-(consolid1ated) PM for 04 hours per day & 4 days in a week. Rs.20000/- P.M on giving undertaking to be available for emergency call duty after the schedule timings for Part time Super specialist.

FOR JUNIOR RESIDENTS (Clinical) & TUTORS (Junior Residents - Non-Clinical) HOLDING MEDICAL DEGREE

Initial Pay Rs.15600/- plus Grade Pay-Rs.5400/- in the PB 3 (15600-39100) as per CCS (Revised) Pay Rules 2008 (pre revised 6th CPC Scale). In addition NPA/DA (as revised from time to time) HRA & TA as are applicable to similar Medical Officers under Govt. of India is payable.

Private practice of any kind will not be allowed

FOR SENIOR RESIDENTS HOLDING PG DEGREE OR DNB

Initial Pay Rs18750/- plus Grade Pay-Rs.6600/- in the PB 3 (15600-39100) as per CCS (Revised) Pay Rules 2008 (6th CPC Scale). In addition, NPA, DA (as revised from time to time) HRA & TA as are applicable to similar Medical Officers under Govt. of India is payable.

Private practice of any kind will not be allowed

Reservation for PWD : OL, OA category of PWD candidates is eligible to apply for non-surgical jobs.

OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SR/JR/TUTOR

1. Senior Resident - The appointment /engagement will be for one year tenure basis subject to Satisfactory performance and on need basis extendable every year for a period of maximum 3 years under Residency scheme for Senior Residents.

2. The appointment /engagement will be for one year tenure basis extendable every year for a period of maximum 3 years subject to satisfactory performance and on need basis for (Tutors) NON-CLINICAL DEPARTMENTS under Residency scheme for Junior Residents (Tutors).

3. Junior Resident - The appointment /engagement will be for one year only on tenure basis for CLINICAL DEPARTMENTS under RESIDENCY SCHEME for JUNIOR RESIDENTS.

4. Rules of Reservation will be implemented as per Govt of India Instruction.

5. The Appointment shall not confer any right or preference for regular appointment.

6. No claim for any service benefit like, PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical allowance, Medical Benefit, Seniority, Promotion etc. However they will be eligible for leave as per central residency scheme.

7. Candidates must be registered with State Medical Council or MCI/State Dental Council or DCI as applicable, before joining the post.

8. Candidates in the Government Service should submit No Objection Certificate from the employer at the time of interview.

9. NO TA/DA will be admissible for interview or joining.

10. ESI Corporation may increase or decrease or cancel filling up of any or all post without assigning any reason at the discretion of the Appointing Authority.

11. Candidates seeking reservation benefits for SC/ST/OBC/PWD must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed by Government of India. They should also be in possession of the required certificates in the prescribed format as per Government of India instructions in support of their claim on the day of interview. OBC candidates should ensure that they are in possession of valid OBC Certificate issued within the due date issued by the authority mentioned by the Government of India.

12. The Candidate claiming reservation/age relaxation on grounds of belonging to OBC should submit the community Certificate in Annexure A prescribed vide Govt. of India, Department of Personnel and Training O.M No 36036/2/2013-Estt.(Res.), dated 30.05.2014 failing which the benefit of reservation/relaxation will not be given and their application shall be rejected and no request/correspondence will be entertained. Certificates issued in other formats will not be accepted and the candidates will be treated as General Category for all purposes.

13. The Candidates appointed under PWD quota will be adjusted against the vacancy of respective categories of SC/ST/OBC/UR.

14. The DEAN has the discretion to increase/decrease the number of vacancies depending on actual requirement or to cancel this recruitment or to withdraw offer of appointment.

15. The Candidates are advised to bring their all Original Certificates along with 2 photographs and 1 set of photocopies of following.

a. SSLC Certificate (for proof of age)

b. MBBS/MD/MS/DNB/M.Sc/MDS/BDS Certificate as applicable

c. MCI/DCI Registration as applicable.

d. Category (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) Certificate whichever applicable.

e. Draft for Interview fee.

17. All candidates are directed to report for interview at the mentioned time, date & venue and register themselves. Candidates reporting after cut off time of registration will not be entertained.

18. The Senior /Junior Resident so selected will be required to submit acceptance / consent letter in writing before appearing for medical examination

19. The doctors at any time found guilty of any gross misconduct or negligence of his/her duties shall be terminated without any notice or payment in lieu of notice period.

20. The absence from work for a period of fifteen days without proper permission of the competent authority will amount to voluntary abandonment of engagement and automatic termination. The Senior Resident/Junior Resident/Tutors are required to mark attendance manually as well as in BAS (Aadhar Based Biometric attendance System).

21. They will also be required to attend emergency and floor duty and other clinical duty as assigned by the Competent Authority or his/her subordinate authority authorized.

22. They will also be required to perform their duties in other departments as assigned by the competent authority.

23. Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately or the date indicated in the offer of appointment/engagement likely to be issued.

24. The Senior/Junior Residents so engaged will be required to sign a contract devised for the purpose on

a stamp paper of Rs.100/-

24. The Selected Senior/Junior Resident/Tutor candidates have to deposit security amount of Rs.5000/- in favor of ESI Fund A/c No.1 payable at State Bank of India, Ashok Nagar, Chennai 78, and produce the demand draft at the time of joining.

25. Interview fee of Rs.200/- in favor of ESI Fund A/c No.1 payable at Chennai (by Demand Draft), for all except candidates belongs to SC/ST/WOMEN/PWD Category.

26. The contract is liable to be terminated at any time without assigning any reason thereof after giving one month's notice on either side or on payment of one months emoluments in lieu notice.

OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR PART TIME SUPER SPECIALIST :

1. The engagement in respect of Part Time Super Specialist is upto the age of 67 years.

2. Selected candidates will have no claim for regularization of services in the hospital/Medical Institution.

3. The appointment is subject to Medical Fitness.

4. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview / joining the post.

5. Part Time Super Specialist selected will be required to submit acceptance/consent letter in writing before appearing for medical examination.

6. The doctors at any time found guilty of any gross misconduct or negligence of his/her duties shall be terminated without any notice or payment in lieu of notice period.

7. Selected candidates will join duty immediately or the date indicated in the offer of appointment/engagement likely to be issued, failing which the offer letter will be treated as canceled.

8. Part Time Super Specialist has to wear his/her own white coat with name badge during the duty hours.

9. He/She will be required to mark attendance manually as well as in BAS (Aadhar Based Biometric attendance System).

10. Candidates are requested to bring their original certificates in evidence of age proof (Date of Birth) educational qualification, Medical Council registration of the State/MCI, experience certificates along with one set of self attested Xerox copies with 2 passport size recent color photographs for appearing in the walk-in- interview without fail.
