ADVERTISMENT FOR A JRF POSITION

Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a DST Inspire research grant funded Project.

Overview of the project:

The present work involves synthesis and characterization of materials (mainly metal oxides, mixed metal oxides and MOFs). The potential of these synthesized materials will be tested for various applications. Therefore, a good background on material synthesis is required. Further, knowledge of various analytical techniques such as XRD, BET, TEM, SEM, FTIR, UV-DRS, TG-DTA, XPS, Zeta potential, etc. is required.

The selected candidate will be allowed to register for a PhD programme of BITS Pilani as a full time candidate (subject to PhD rules and regulations of the Institute as well as availability of funds).

ELIGIBILITY

Essential Qualification: M.E. / M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent with 60% marks in preceding examination.

STIPEND: A consolidated fellowship of Rs. 30,000/-per month.

ACCOMODATION: Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability and will be subject to rules and regulation of the Institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate. Further, the candidate is required to pay the necessary hostel fees.

DURATION: The funding is available till May-2019 only. (However, if the performance is satisfactory, the candidate may continue to work without any financial support after May-2019. A possibility of alternate financial support will be certainly looked upon however cant be guaranteed)
