Applications are invited from qualified Indian nationals for the following post under the ICMR-ICSSR-SBR ad-hoc research project at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus.

Project title: Development and Validation of a Prototype of Web/Mobile App Based Positive Psychological Intervention for Adolescents.

Name of the post: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

No. of posts: One (1)

Duration: Initially for one year (Extendable for second year depending upon favourable review).

Fellowship: INR 28,000/- per month (Excluding HRA) (as per ICMR Norms)

Essential Qualifications:

1) Masters/ M.Phil. in Social Sciences (Psychology/Public Health/Psychiatric Social Work/Sociology or related area)

Candidates who have qualified JRF/NET (ICMR-JRF, CSIR-JRF, and UGC-JRF) are encouraged to apply.

Desirable Qualifications:

1) Experience of Working in a Health/Educational/Development sector.

2) Experience of working with computers mainly website construction (ASP.NET, PHP, MYSQL preferred) and database management.

3) Must be Technology Savvy- Excellent command over MS Office (MS Word/Excel) and Data analysis software's (SPSS/MPlus/LISREL/AMOS/NVIVO) would be an asset.

4) Candidates with prior experience in the social sciences related field work, data collection data analysis; report writing; publications in peer reviewed journals and having good command over English (writing) will be ideally preferred.

Shortlisted candidates will receive emails for the selection interview and the process will be completed within 10 Days. The interviews are scheduled on 12th September 2018 (Wednesday). Selected Candidate is required to join with immediate effect.

Please Note:

1. Candidates must show all the original certificates while they attend the interview in person at the Dept. of HSS, BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus.

2. No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview.

3. If performance of the SRF is not found satisfactory during the service, position can be terminated with one month of prior notice.

4. The SRF may choose to resign through a 3 months advance notice at any point of their contract.

The selected candidate will be allowed to register for PhD programme under the Principal Investigator as their Supervisor, as per the norms of BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, subject to the fulfilment of other essential criteria as per the rule.
