1. All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi is an autonomous body established under an Act of Parliament.

2. Service under the AIIMS is governed by that Act and the Rules & Regulations framed there under.

3. All posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees of similar status at Delhi/New Delhi.

4 (i) Out of 10 posts of Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology (Main), 01 post is reserved for PWBD (OH) under the category of OBC.

(ii) Out of 04 posts of Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology (Dr. BRAIRCH), 01 post is reserved for PWBD (OH) under the Category of ST.

(iii) Out of 13 posts of Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology, 01 post is reserved for PWBD (OH) under the category of UR.

(iv) Out of 02 posts of Assistant Professor of Cardiology, 01 post is reserved for PWBD (OH) under the category of UR.

(v) 01 post of Assistant Professor of Biophysics is reserved for PWBD (OH) under the category of UR.

(vi) 01 post of Assistant Professor of Psychiatry (NDDTC) is reserved for PWBD (OH) under the category of OBC.

5. PAY SCALES

Assistant Professor	Level 12 - Rs. 101500-167400/- (plus NPA for those medical posts for which a recognized medical qualification has been prescribed as an essential qualification).

6. Upper Age Limit:

(i) 50 (Fifty) years.

(ii) Upper age limit shall be determined as on last date of submission of applications.

(iii) No age relaxation would be available to SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates applying for unreserved vacancies.

(iv) Age relaxation permissible to various categories is as under:

7. Applicants who do not possess the essential qualification up-to-the last date of online submission of application(s) will not be considered.

8. The effective date up-to which the requisite experience must be completed would be reckoned as the last date of submission of application(s).

9. The requisite experience in respect of aforesaid vacant faculty posts is relaxable at the discretion of Competent Authority by one year for the candidates belonging to SC & ST categories.

10. Period of probation for all faculty posts is two years.

11. The post(s) is/are whole time and private practice of any kind is prohibited.

12. The employees of the AIIMS will be governed by the New Pension Scheme as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division) Notification No. 5/7/2003-ECB&PR dated 22.12.2003.

13. 4% reservation for PWBD has been provided.

14. Application Fee- Rs. 500/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ST candidates). Application fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

15. Separate application(s) should be submitted for separate post(s) along-with the prescribed application fee for each post(s).

16. Candidates applying under any of the reserved category posts, viz. SC/ST/OBC/PWBD will be considered subject to submission of Caste/Disability Certificate issued by the appropriate/competent authority on the prescribed format. Community should be clearly and legibly mentioned in the certificate. OBC candidates eligibility will be based on the caste(s) borne in the Central List of Government of India. OBC candidate(s) should not belong to Creamy Layer and their sub-caste should match with the entries in Central List of OBC, failing which their candidature will not be considered under any of the applied category post(s). The candidature of PWBD applicant is subject to evaluation by the Medical Board duly constituted by the Director, AIIMS, New Delhi.

17. Only such persons would be eligible for reservation under PWBD quota in service/posts as per provision of Disability Act. Persons who want to avail of benefit of reservation would have to submit a Disability Certificate issued by a competent authority in the prescribed format.

18. The aspiring candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria in all respect should submit their application through ON-LINE mode only and must read the instructions, help manual and other details carefully and follow the instructions given therein while making online submission of the applications. 19. 20. Applications lacking complete information as required in online submission and non-remittance of requisite application fee as well as failure in submission of copies of relevant documents after online submission of application within the specified period will be rejected without any communication.

21. All the original certificates/documents will be verified at the time of interview. The short-listed candidate(s) based on their submission, must bring one print out of on-line application and all original certificates viz. (i) 10th class, (ii) essential qualifications and experience(s), (iii) valid caste certificate if applied under SC/ST/OBC/PWBD category issued by the appropriate/competent authority (iv) No Objection Certificates (if in regular employment in any Govt./Semi Govt./ Government Enterprises/Government funded autonomous Institutions) along with a set of self attested photocopy of the said document(s)/certificate(s).

22. While every effort will be made to provide residential accommodation to the faculty appointed at the AIIMS subject to availability but in view of the paucity of the residential accommodation in the campus, it may not be possible to provide accommodation in every case. In the event that no accommodation is provided, necessary House Rent Allowance (H.R.A) as admissible to the Central Government Servants of similar status stationed at Delhi/New Delhi will be provided as per rules.

Assistant Professor of Biophysics

i) A postgraduate qualification, i.e. Masters Degree in Biophysics or any specialty of Life Sciences/any branch of Biological Sciences/Physics/ Chemistry from a recognized University/Institution.

iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of Biophysics after obtaining the Doctorate Degree.

Assistant Professor of Biotechnology

For Medical Candidates:-

	Assistant Professor of Intensive Care (CTVS)	ESSENTIAL: i) M.B.B.S. ii) A postgraduate qualification, i.e. MD/ MS in Medical/ Surgical Disciplines viz. Paediatrics/ Medicine/ Anaesthesia/Surgery or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. EXPERIENCE Three years teaching and/or research experience after obtaining the postgraduate degree in Medical/Surgical Disciplines viz. Paediatrics/ Medicine/ Anaesthesia/ Surgery or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. Two years experience,

		out of the above three years, should be in a recognized Intensive Care Unit providing Intensive Care Service including post Cardiac Surgical patient care.
	Assistant Professor of C.T.V.S	i) Same as for Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Post Code No. 02 above. ii) M.Ch. in CTVS (2 years or 3 years or 5 years or 6 years recognized course after MBBS) or recognized qualification equivalent thereto. iii) One year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the Degree of M.Ch. in CTVS (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing three years or six years recognized Degree of M.Ch. in CTVS.
07	Assistant Professor of Community Medicine	i) Same as for Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Post Code No. 02 above. ii) A postgraduate qualification, e.g. MD in Community Medicine/ Preventive & Social Medicine or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. Candidates possessing M.D. in other clinical subjects are also eligible provided that they have acquired the above essential qualification of a Degree in Community Medicine/ Preventive & Social Medicine at a later stage. iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Community Medicine/Preventive & Social Medicine or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
