MINIMUM QULIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT OF TEACHERS IN COLLEGES, AS PER UGC REGULATIONS PRINCIPAL

1) A Masters Degree with at least 55% of the marks or a relevant grade regarded as equivalent to 55% wherever grading system is followed by a recognized University.

2) Ph.D. qualification in concerned/allied/ relevant discipline with evidence of published work and research guidance.

3) Associate Professor/Professor with a total experience of 15 years of teaching/research/ administration in Universities / Colleges and other institutions of higher education.

4) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) for Professors as developed by UGC Regulations-. (Fourth Amendment) Dt. 11 July 2016.

5) A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. degree holders, who have passed their Masters degree prior to 19 th September, 1991.

6) The Term of Appointment of the College Principal shall be five years with eligibility for reappointment for one more term only after a similar Selection process which shall take into account an external peer review, its recommendation its outcome The framework of

the external peer review shall be specified by the UGC. 7) As per of government of Maharashtra / UGC the Principal appointment will be five (5) Years. MINIMUM QULIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT OF TEACHERS IN COLLEGES, AS

PER UGC REGULATIONS Director of Physical Education 1) Master s degree in Physical Education or Masters degree in Sports Science with at least

55% of the marks or its equivalence in a grade point scale with a consistently good academic record.

2) Record of having represented the university / college at the inter-university / intercollegiate competitions or the State and/ or national championships.

3) Passed the physical fitness test.

4) Qualifying in the National Eligibility Test (NET) or other accredited test like SLET/SET in Physical Education conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.

5) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause 4.4.1, candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulation,2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent position in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.

6) A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and Masters level for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ other backward classes (OBC) (Non-Creamy layer) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching position. The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.

MINIMUM QULIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT OF TEACHERS IN COLLEGES, AS PER UGC REGULATIONS LIBRARIAN

1) Master s degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of 55% marks where grading system is practiced and a consistently good academic record

with knowledge on computerization of library. 2) Qualifying in the National Eligibility Test (NET) or other accredited test like SLET/SET in Library Science conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.

3) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause 4.4.1, candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D.Degree) Regulation, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant

Professor or equivalent position in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.

4) A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and Masters level for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled) other backward classes (OBC) (Non-Creamy layer) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching position. The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible,

based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures. MINIMUM QULIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT OF TEACHERS IN COLLEGES, AS PER UGC REGULATIONS Assistant Professor Arts, Humanities, Languages.

(i)

Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% of the marks or equivalent grade where grading system is practiced at the Masters degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

(ii)

Besides fulfilling the above qualification, the candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

(iii) Not with standing anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this clause 4.4.1 candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standard and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. degree), Regulations,shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor of equivalent position in University/Colleges/Institutions.

(iv) A relaxation of 5% may be Provided at the graduate and masters level for the SC/ST/Differently-abled (Physically and visually handicapped) OBC categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching position, Rounding off of marks to make it to 55% or 50% as case me be through grace mark procedure etc. by universities is not permissible for claiming relaxation.

Social Reservations

1) As per Government Resoolution No.CBC-10/2003/PK-/MVK Dated 28 th January, 2004, SC/VJ/NT/OBC Candidates shall submit their Validity Certificates within 03 Months form the date of joining (IF Validity is not available at the time of interview.)

2) As per Government Resolution No.STC-1099/PK-14/ C-10, Dated 16 August,2000 & STC/14200/PK-43/C-10, Dated 27 January, 2003 candidates belonging to ST category to submit Cast Validity Certificate at the time of interview.

Parallel Reservations
