NOTIFICATION

Subject: Engagement of retired personnel on short-term contract basis as Consultants in the O/o Sr. DDG, Kolkata LSA.

Office of Sr. DDG, Kolkata LSA proposes to engage retired personnel on short term contract basis as Consultant for technical work to hire services of retired personnel from Department of Telecommunications/ Posts, other organized Accounts Services of Govt. and BSNL/ MTNL as per the terms & conditions given below:

1. No of likely vacancies 3

2. Candidate should not be more than 65 years of age.

3. Such appointment would initially be for a period of 06 months which, based on his/ her performance, can further be extended upto a maximum of 6 terms of 6 months each or 65 years of age whichever is earlier.

4. Computer literacy is necessary.

5. Should have work experience in the field of telecommunications, preferably mobile network.

6. The consolidated fee/ remuneration payable to retired persons engaged on short term contract basis shall be restricted to the difference between last pay drawn (as per 6th CPC) by the retired official and basic pension + DA at the rate applicable for Central Government employees from time to time. For candidates who had retired from PSU remuneration shall be restricted to the difference between last pay drawn (as per 6th CPC) by the retired official and basic pension + DA at the rate applicable for Central Government employees from time to time. The person so engaged shall not be eligible for other allowances and benefits. The payment will be made on monthly basis.

7. Income tax or any other tax liable to be deducted as per prevailing rules will be deducted at source before effecting the payment for which the department will issue TDS certificate. Service tax as applicable shall be payable extra as the prevailing rates.

8. The contract can be terminated by either of the party with prior notice of 30 days.

9. After scrutiny of application received, a panel will be drawn. The panel will be valid for period of 3 months.
