Eligible candidates are invited to attend the

Walk in interview on 14th July 2017

for the following Contractual positions mentioned below under the project of Modelling insect pests and diseases under climate change and Development of digital tools for pest management under National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) (2017-2020) it is proposed to recruit positions at ICAR-NCIPM, LBS, Building, Pusa Campus, New Delhi -110012.

Research Associate (RA) (2)

(Purely contractual upto March 31 2020)

(i) Ph.D. in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/Statistics/Agricultural Statistics

OR

(ii) Post graduation in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/Statistics/Agricultural Statistics with 4 or 5 years of Bachelor's degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average, with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship/ Training/other engagements

OR

(iii) 3 years Bachelor's degree with 3 years professional Master's degree like MCA & M Tech etc., equivalent qualifications & having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average & with at least 02 years research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship/ Training/other engagements

OR

(iv) Candidates having Masters degree in Basic Sciences (above relevant subjects) and have qualified NET and have at least 02 years research experience as

evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship/ Training/other engagements

Experience in data organization, and proficiency in use of statistical softwares.

Working knowledge of design and development of database and applications using Microsoft SQL Server ASP.NET Technologies

Experience in development of android applications in the field of agriculture

Senior Research Fellow (SRF) (3)

(Purely contractual upto March 31 2020)

Masters in Agricultural Entomology/ Plant Pathology/Agricultural Statistics/Statistics/ Computer Application with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor's degree. Candidates having Master degree in Basic Sciences (above relevant subjects) with 3 years Bachelor's degree and 2 years Master's degree should have NET qualification

Proficiency in data organization/report writing/ handling statistical software packages & interpretation

Terms and Conditions:

1. Age limit (as on 01.07.2017) for Research Associate is 40 years for Men and 45 years for Women and for Senior Research Associate is 35 for Men and 40 years for Women.

2. The age is relax able for SC/ST and OBC candidates for both RAs & SRFs, is applicable as per

ICAR/Govt. of India norms.

3. The above positions will be filled up on contractual basis and are up to 31.03.2020 or co terminus with the project. The renewal of yearly contract is subjected to satisfactory performance/sanction obtain from the funding agency. The selected candidate(s) have no claim for regular appointment(s) after expiry of the Project at NCIPM/ICAR.

4. No TA/ DA will be paid for attending the interview.

5. Candidates appearing for interview should compulsorily bring filled in application as per format annexed. Original Certificates of age proof, educational qualifications (from 10th class onwards), and documents in support of essential, and desirable qualifications / experience along with a set of self-attested photocopies along with the recent passport sized photograph should be brought.

6. Interview of the eligible candidates would be held at the premises of NCIPM on 14th July 2017 at 10.30AM.

7. Candidate fulfilling the essential qualifications only need to attend the Walk in Interview.

8. Concealing of facts and canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification
