Saksham which means "Capable" or Self reliant in Sanskrit is a TISS project that implements counseling services for Drug Resistant (DR) TB patients in collaboration with the Mumbai District Tuberculosis (TB) Control Society (MDTCS). The programme supported by the Global Fund for AIDS, TB and Malaria was initiated in August 2014 as an extension of the HIV counseling capacity building initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

Visiting DR-TB counselling centres regularly

Interviewing clients at DR-TB counselling centres

Data entry

Essential Skills:

Interview and data collection experience

Working knowledge of MS Excel

Good communication skill

Fluency in local language (Statewise)

Willingness to travel

Desirable Skills:

Prior experience of working in field of TB and/or TB Counselling

Working in a team

Qualification:

Post Graduation in Arts/ Social Work/ Sociology/ Psychology/ Anthropology/ Public Health/ Social Sciences.
