(Walk-in-Interview for Guest Faculties)
Tezpur University is going to empanel eligible candidates for consideration of engagement as Guest Faculties for various Departments to be appointed on contract (semester basis) as per the UGC guidelines with following details. The appointment will be need-based for the Department.

First Class graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant / Cost and Works Accountant / Company Secretary of the concerned statutory bodies. Desirable: 1. Teaching, research, industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; 2. Papers published in refereed journals and / or presented at Conferences. |
NOTE (1): On the basis of educational qualifications and experience, etc., a panel of selected candidates will be prepared for each Department, which will be valid for a period of one year. Appointments, purely on contract, will be made from this panel in order of merit and on semester basis as per requirement of the concerned Department. Appointment for subsequent semesters may be renewed after review of performance on individual-case-basis. Empanelment of candidates does not guarantee appointment. In case of professional qualification (as per requirement of the concerned department), the required academic qualification may be relaxed for a specific area from the industry / profession.
NOTE (2): As per Board of Managements Resolution issued vide Memo No.F.13-1/97(GA-I) (Vol-III)/2733-A Dt. 05.10.2016, Good Academic Record is defined as -
- i) First Class / Division both in 10th and 10+2.
- ii) First Class in first degree.
- iii) First Class in B.Tech. / B. E. degree and M. Tech. / M.E. degree.
- iv) 55% for non-technical Masters degree.
NOTE (3): Five percent (5%) relaxation to all reserved category candidates as per rules will be applicable.
NOTE (4): Ph.D. degree is desirable for all the Departments except for the candidates from industry and profession.
NOTE (5): NET / SLET / SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET / SLET / SET is not conducted by UGC/CSIR, etc.
Honorarium: Appointed Guest Faculties will be paid Rs. 1,000/- per lecture subject to a maximum of Rs. 25,000/- per month. No other allowances, etc. will be admissible.
Interested candidates are to register their names along with detailed biodata/CV (mentioning Name, Father/Mother/Spouse Name, Permanent & Correspondence Address, Phone No., e-mail, Date of Birth, Caste, Sex, Detailed Educational Qualification from 10th standard onwards, Detailed Work Experience, Present Position (if working) with details of job nature, etc., by e-mail to the Head of the concerned Department at least three days ahead of the scheduled date of interview as stated below.
Candidates who do not register his / her name by the aforesaid time & date shall not be interviewed. Eligible candidates so registered shall appear before the concerned Selection Committee as per the above schedule with all testimonials in origin. The candidates will also be required to submit a signed copy of the detailed biodata/CV as stated above and a set of self-attested photocopies of all the supporting documents at the time of interview.
However, Head of Departments may put CV of industry people / professionals in the Selection Committee(s) for consideration of empanelment in-absentia.
No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interviews.
