Tenure: 18 months or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier
Essential Qualification:
Post Graduate degree in Public health, Health Administration, Social work, Population sciences and other Social Sciences with subjects on research methodology and a dissertation as part of their degree are eligible to apply
Experience: Essential: 1 year of research related work experience in the field of health with domain knowledge of the field of public health.
Desirable: Experience in Public Health research along with working knowledge of data analysis pacakges like Excel, SPSS and Atlasti.
Remuneration:
Rs 32000/-per month with Fieldwork Allowance

About the Project: Morbidity Prevalence and Gap analysis in Treatment Seeking Behaviour
Specific objectives of the project: Elicit Morbidity load of a population based on self reported morbidity by using culturally sensitive tools to capture morbidity in the study area. Design a survey tool to capture forms of morbidity in a given period of time among the local communities. To track treatment seeking behaviour for the above illness based on mapping of health care facilities.
A mixed methodological framework driven by an interdisciplinary approach will be deployed for conducting the research. FGDs will be adopted to strengthen the local understanding and meaning of morbidities in the formative phase. Based on this a detailed survey will be adopted to capture morbidity load in a specific population.
Job Description:
Organize and manage various activities pertaining to the project.
Liaison with the concerned stakeholders for data collection
Organize, conduct and facilitate data collection. Lead the research team throughout the various stages of data management and analysis along with quality check. Documentation, monitoring and regular reporting of progress to the PI and to the funding agency. Need to work towards drafting and finalization of report based on inputs from peer review. Any other work towards the operationalization of the project, as directed by PI.
