Advertisement Require Full Time Research Officers for projects at School of Habitat Studies

Position: Two full time Research officers are required to work on two projects viz., Socio-political processes underlying the construction and utilization Community Toilets in Mumbai and Urban resettlement sites: An emergent health challenge being anchored at the Centre for Environmental Health in School of Habitat Studies, TISS, Mumbai. The former study will examine the significance and role of different actors in construction of community toilets, and explore socio-economic determinants of its utilization in the slums of Mumbai. The latter study is envisaged to investigate the environmental conditions in resettlement sites and their impacts on health.

The posts are to be filled on contract initially for a period of six months, extendable upto two years based on work performance and requirements of the project.

Essential Qualification:

Masters degree in Public Health or Sociology or related social science discipline with two years of research experience. Fluency in English and Hindi is must. Knowledge of Marathi is desirable.

3. Organise workshops and seminars
   
   
4. Authoring/co-authoring research reports
   
   
5. Any administrative work related to CEH as requested
