Advertisement for Sr. Resident

The Last Date for Receipt of Application Form is 20.07.2017. Warning: Application received incomplete in any respect and after the stipulated period are liable to be summarily rejected. No correspondence on that score will be entertained.

1. Applications are invited from the candidates having MDS Qualification for the post of Senior Residents in the different disciplines of S.C.B. Dental College & Hospital, Cuttack. The engagement of the Senior Residents will be on yearly basis for a maximum period of three years subject to satisfactory performance.

The In-service candidates working under the Govt. Of Health & F.W. Department will get the Scale of Pay of Dental Surgeons and the Direct candidates will get a contractual remuneration of Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousands) only per month.

3. Reservation:

The reservation policy of the State Govt. will be applicable of the vacancies. If there is no candidates applied from the reservation category the post may be filled up by suitable candidates strictly on merit basis.

4. Age:

Maximum age limit for the candidates shall be 40 years as on 1.1.2017 for both Direct and In-service candidates. The upper age limit will be relaxed by 5 years for ST,SC and Woman candidates, by 3 years for SEBC candidates and by 10 years for Physically Handicapped persons.

5. Qualification:

A candidate must have obtained a MDS Degree in the concerned Speciality from a institution recognised by D.C.I.

6. Other Eligibility Conditions:

i) The candidate must be a citizen of India: ii) The candidate should be able to speak, read and write Oriya and should have had Oriya as a language subject in the Middle English School or any equivalent examination Or has been declared to have passed a test in Oriya Language equivalent to the Middle English School Standard conducted by the Education Department of Government of Odisha; iii) A person who has more than one spouse living will not be eligible for appointment unless the State Government has exempted his/her case from operation of this limitation for any good land sufficient reasons; iv) Only those candidates who fulfil the requisite qualification and experience by the closing date of receipt of applications will be considered eligible; v) Before appointment a candidate must register himself/herself as a Medical Practitioner under relevant provision.

7. Application Fees:

A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five hundred) only in shape of D.D. to be drawn in favour of Principal, S.C.B. Dental College & Hospital, Cuttack Payable at S.C.B. Medical College Campus, Cuttack (code no. 5760) Branch.

8. Certificates to be Attached:

Candidates are required to submit along with their applications self-attested Photo copies of the following documents. They must not attach the original certificates. Only those who will be called for counselling are required to bring with them the original certificates, mark-sheets in support of the photo copies for verification. a. H.S.C. or equivalent certificate in support of their declaration of age; b. P.U./P.P./Intermediate/+2 Examination Certificate; c. B.D.S. Certificate. d. M.D.S. Degree Certificate in support of qualification; e. Certificate from competent authority regarding continuity in service under Government of Odisha; f. Mark list in support of all the aforesaid examinations (i.e. from H.S.C. to B.D.S.) Passed including fail marks, if any; g. Certificate indicating the chances taken to obtain the degree (B.D.S. & M.D.S. degree). h. Houseman-ship Completion Certificate: i. Dental Registration Certificate; j. Required Oriya Test Pass Certificate from Competent Authority; k. S.C/S.T./S.E.B.C. certificate from competent authority.

l. Ex-Servicemen are required to attach copy of discharge certificate from the competent authority. m. Physically Handicapped certificate.

9. Method of Selection:

The selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts will be made strictly on the basis of career assessment as laid down by the Govt

10. Other Conditions:

(i ) Candidates are required to submit along with the applications :- a. Two passport size copies of recent photographs signed by the candidates on its front, one pasted at the right hand corner of the first page of the application and the other stitched to the application; b. Two self addressed envelope (approximately 23 cm x 10 cm) affixed with stamp of Rs.40/- ; (ii) Applications found incomplete in any respect are liable for rejection without entertaining any correspondence with the applicants on that score. (iii) Applications received after the closing date shall not be entertained. (iv) This advertisement should not be construed as binding on the Government to make appointment. (v) Relaxation meant for S.C., S.T. & S.E.B.C. are admissible to S.C., S.T. and S.E.B.C. classes of Odisha only. (vi) Candidates are required to take due care to annex with the applications, the copies of certificates and other documents as stated at point no 8 serially. (vii) Mere empanelment in the select list shall confer no right to appointment unless the Govt. is satisfied after making such enquiry as may be deemed necessary that the candidate is suitable in all respects for appointment to the service.

11. How to Apply:

12. Candidates are required to send their application by Registered Post / Speed Post / Courier Service to reach in the office of the Principal, S.C.B. Dental College & Hospital, Cuttack 753 007 on or before the last date of receipt of the application. The envelope containing the Application Form must be superscribed Application for the post of Sr. Resident . Applications received after the due date will not be accepted.
