Vacancy Notice

Desert Medicine Research Centre, a permanent research centre under Indian Council of Medical Research, Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, invites applications from suitable Indian Nationals for appointment on the following post up to 13th August, 2018:

1. Scientist D (Medical)- One Post

Pay Rs.78800: Level-12 (Pre-revised: Pay Band-3: Rs. 15600-39100+ Grade Pay Rs. 7600/-)

(1) Essential qualifications:

Post graduate degree (MD/DNB in Medicine/Community Medicine/Pediatrics/Obstetrics & Gynecology/ Microbiology) with five years R&D/teaching experience required after MD/DNB in the required subjects or Postgraduate Diploma in the above medical subjects with six years R&D/teaching experience required after Postgraduate Diploma in the required subject from recognized university. Out of above 2 years experience in a managerial position to handle R&D projects in a team effectively in a directing capacity

Or

MBBS degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from recognized University with 8 years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject after MBBS Degree. Out of above 2 years experience in a managerial position to handle R&D projects in a team effectively in a directing capacity

(2) Desirable qualification:

i. Doctorate in relevant subject.

ii. Additional post doctoral research/teaching experience in the above mentioned subjects from recognized institute(s).

iii. Knowledge of computer applications

Job Requirement: To plan and undertake independent research/to assist in Centres research activities.

(3) Age: Not exceeding 45 years and relaxable up to 5 years for Government servants.

Other Service Condition:

(1) Allowances as per Central Government Rules are admissible on the above pay scale.

(2) Benefits of new restructured defined Contributory pension system(NPS) are admissible as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECD & PR Division), Notification No.5/7/2003-ECD & PR dated 22/12/2003 effective from 01/01/2004.

(3) Private practice is not allowed, however, non-practicing allowance is admissible.

(4) Applications from employees working in Central/State Govt. Departments, Public Sector Undertakings and Government Funded Research agencies must be forwarded through Proper Channel. Advance copies of application will be considered subject to the condition that a No Objection Certificate from the employer is produced at the time of personal discussion. In case they will not produce the same, then they will not be eligible for the personal discussion.

(5) This post is with all India transfer liability.

Application form duly completed in all respects and signed by the applicant should reach to Desert Medicine Research Centre, New Pali Road, Jodhpur, 342005 with attested copies of the Certificates in support of date of birth educational qualification, experience etc. and crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO)/Demand Draft for Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) in favor of Director, Desert Medicine Research Centre, Jodhpur payable at Jodhpur. SC/ST, Women, Physically Handicapped (PH) and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from the application fees. IPOs and DDs are payable by all other candidates including ICMR employees. The envelope containing applications should be super scribed Application for the post of Scientist D.
