Interested candidates are requested to appear for a walk in-interview on 23^rd August 2018 at 4 pm, for the following temporary post in the department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology, Shibpur, Howrah.

Senior Research Fellow: No of post -One

Essential Qualification: Indian Nationals possessing (i) First class M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized University and at least two years of post-M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech, research/teaching experience as evidence from published papers in standard referred journals;

OR

(ii) First class ME/MTech or equivalent degree in Civil Engg./Techn. from a recognized University;

Age Limit: Maximum 32 years, (Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Woman and Physically handicapped candidates).

Desirable Qualification: M.E. / M.Tech in Structural Engineering with some knowledge on probabilistic structural analysis will be an added advantage. Candidates having qualified national level examination like NET/GATE are preferable.

Fellowship: Rs. 14,000/-+30%HRA+Rs. 300/-MA per month.

Project Duration: Three years or termination of the project whichever is earlier.

Venue of the interview: Chamber of the Head of the Department, Department of Civil Engineering, 2^nd Floor, Main Building, IIEST, Shibpur.

NB: 1. Competent Candidate should bring two hard copies bio-data (to submit) and original mark sheets and certificates.

1. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing at the interview.
   
   
2. The SRF-ship will be awarded for a maximum period of 36 months (renewable every 12 months as per Institute rules and CSIR rules) or termination of the project whichever is earlier
   
   
3. Candidates failing to produce original certificates at the time of interview may not be considered
   
   
4. If the candidate avail Institute accommodation/hostel facility, no HRA will be paid.
   
   
5. The rate of HRA and MA will be regulated by CSIR/Institute orders.
