Advertisement for the post of Junior Research Fellow in DST-SERB Project at the Department of

Mathematics, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur.

Applications are invited for a post of junior research fellow (JRF) to work in DST-SERB

project entitled Linear complementarity problems over the cone of completely positive

matrices in Department of Mathematics, Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN),

Thiruvarur.

Details of qualifications, Emoluments and duration are given below:

Emoluments JRF @ Rs. 25,000/-per month for the first 02 years; SRF: @ Rs. 28,000/-per month for the third year. 10% the stipend is allowed as HRA, if the candidate is not staying in the hostels of CUTN.
Educational qualifications 1. First class M.Sc Mathematics / Integrated M.Sc. Mathematics or Equivalent degree in Mathematics or Statistics. 2. Valid GATE/CSIR-UGC NET (LS)/JEST / NBHM/ CSIR-JRF qualification. 3. However, the latter requirement may be relaxed in case of an extra-ordinary candidate with a reduced fellowship as per applicable rules. 4. Candidates who are in final year of Qualifying Degree with required eligibility can also apply. However, such candidates have to submit their provisional certificate on or before joining.

Duration of project 3 years
Application Procedure The filled-in Application form (soft copy in pdf format) along with relevant supporting documents must be sent to chandrashekaran@cutn.ac.in by email no later than 15th August 2018. Subject of the email should contain Application for JRF in Mathematics -CUTN.

General terms and conditions:

  1. The position is temporary and renewable every six months subject to satisfactory performance, for a maximum of three (03) years (total duration).

  2. Original documents of certificates/degrees/mark-sheets from matriculation onwards, age proof and other testimonials should be presented at the time of interview. A set of self-attested photocopy of all the documents must be submitted at the time of interview along with two copies of your passport size photographs.

  3. Candidate should bring with him/her the signed hard copy of the Application Form at the time of interview.

  4. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview and the date of interview will be intimated via email only. No other communication in this regard will be entertained.

  5. TA/DA is not admissible for attending the interview or for joining the post.
