For further details, please visit the web site at iptel.iisc.ac.in In this context, IISc invites applications for the position of Technology Manager at its Intellectual Property and Technology Licensing office. The above position is contractual and candidates will be hired on a renewable (depending on satisfactory performance) annual contract, with a fixed salary based on experience, for a maximum duration of 5 years. The base salary of the manager will be fixed in the range of Rs. 70, 000 to 1, 50,000 per month (consolidated). An annual review by the IPTeL standing committee will fix increments between 5 and 10 %. In addition, the manager will be paid 1 % of net license revenue negotiated post joining and earned in a particular year, subject to a maximum of 30% of the yearly salary. Job Description: The manager's responsibilities will include the following:Evaluate patentability of disclosures submitted to IPTeL in conjunction with chair IPOversee IP management and the IPTeL office management.Mine IP within IISc and market IISc IP to industries through suitable platformsIdentify licensing opportunities and negotiate licensing agreements with industrySubmit proposals to GOI on IIScs behalf to fund bridging of the TRL gap betweencurrent IP and industry needs.Eligibility: It is preferred that the candidate should at least have abachelor's degree in engineering or basic sciences and3 years of experience in IP and technology transfer management in industry, academia or government institutions.Desirable: Post graduate degree in management sciences anda track record in licensing academic IP to industry.

Age: Candidate should not have crossed 50 years as on 01.08.2018. This can also be relaxed at the discretion of the Institute for the deserving candidates with higher experience and merit.
