Recruitment to the post of Senior Residents for the tenure period (3 years) as per Govt. of Indias Residency Scheme (vide chapter 17 para) for the session July 2017 at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.

The online application are invited from Indian Citizens as per Govt. of Indias Residency Scheme, for the following tenure posts of Senior Residents in various Pre-clinical, Para-clinical and Clinical departments for a maximum period upto 3 years in the prescribed format. The details are as under:-.

Candidates may kindly note that :-

Candidates having MD/DNB in Paediatrics or Medicine can apply for the post of Senior Residents in the Department of Neonatology, Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology and Medical Oncology.

Candidates having MS/DNB in General Surgery can also apply for the post of Senior Residents in the department of Neurosurgery, Paediatrics Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Urology and Burns & Plastic.

Trauma & Emergency Medicine (*): Candidates having DNB/MD/MS in Orthopaedics/Anaesthesiology/ General Surgery/ General Medicine can apply for the post of Senior Resident in Trauma & Emergency Department.

Dentistry (**): Candidates having Oral Maxillofacial surgery, Conservative Dentistry & Orthodontics will be given preference.

Essential Qualification:

1. I. A Postgraduate Medical degree viz. MD/MS/DNB/DM/M.Ch in their respective disciplines recognised by MCI /Institute of National Importance.
   
   
2. II. Candidates those completing the above courses by July, 2017 are also eligible to apply. They have to produce the pass certificate from the Institute at the time of Interview.
   
   
3. III. Candidates having DNB Degree have to produce pass certificate (both Theory & Practical from DNB Board) along with the online application.
   
   

Upper Age Limit:

1. I. For eligibility to apply for these posts, upper age limit will be 33 years. This is relaxable for SC/ST candidates upto a maximum period of five years, for OBC candidates upto a maximum period of three years. In case of Orthopaedics Physical Handicapped (OPH) candidates, age relaxation is upto maximum period of 5years for General Category, 8 years for OBC category and 10 years for SC/ST category candidates. Those who have finished 3 years Residency Scheme are not eligible.
   
   
2. II. For those applying for these posts after completing DM/M.Ch courses, the upper age limit as on last date of receipt of application will be 35 years. The age limit is further relaxable for SC/ST candidates, OBC candidates & OPH candidates will be as above.
   
   

Mode of Selection:

1. I. Written examination, will only be conducted when of applications are more than the number of posts. However, there will be no written test for that post against which less number of applications are received than the vacancies. Director, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar will have discretion to decide for which post written examination to be conducted and for which post there will be no written examination. The decision thereof will be final.
   
   
2. II. Candidates working in Govt. / Semi-Govt., PSU should apply through proper channel only. The in-services candidates will not be permitted for examination / interview, without No Objection Certificate from the employer. In this connection it is mentioned that as per the terms and conditions of Senior Residency Scheme that their engagement is to be regulated as per the CCS (Temporary Service Rules). As per rule 1(3) of the CCS (TSR) that these rules shall apply to all persons who hold a Civil Post including all civilians paid from defence service estimate under the Govt. of India, and who are under the rule making control of President, but who dont hold a lien or suspended lien on any post under the Govt. of India or State Govt.
   
   
3. III. Candidates are advised to visit our website regularly to get various updates about the selection process from time to time.
   
   
4. IV. All candidates completing their qualifying eligibility criteria by July session shall be eligible.
   
   
5. V. In of case exceptional candidates, the discretion of authorities to relax requisite eligibility criteria like age, experience etc. shall be final.
   
   
6. VI. Depending on requirement, the Authorities may increase/ decrease the number of seats.
   
   

Application Procedure:

1. I. The online application will be available w.e.f. 01st July, 2017 on our website www.aiimsbhubaneswar.edu.in. Candidates who are fulfilling the eligibility criteria may apply through online as per the prescribed format as available through online mode. Candidates who are working in government agency may intimate employer about their submission application. However, they will submit NOC at the time of Personal Interview Test.
   
   
2. II. Director AIIMS, Bhubaneswar reserves the right to cancel advertisement at any point of time without assigning any reason thereof or fill up less number of posts as advertised depending upon the Institutional requirement.
   
   
3. III. The original certificate i.e MBBS degree certificate, Internship Completion Certificate, Qualifying degree (MBBS/MD/MS/DNB/DM/M.Ch) Medical registration Certificate, Date of Birth Certificate, Cast Certificate etc. of the candidates who opt/select for the post of Senior Residents will be verified. If any, candidates who joins the post and leave/resign/terminate before the completion of the tenure, he/she may do so by giving one months notice as per the rules or by depositing pay and allowance in lieu thereof with Institute for the period of which notice fall short of one month or so.

1. I. General / OBC Category: Rs. 1000/- with transaction charges, as applicable.

Pay Scale:

1. I. For Senior Residents: Rs. 15,000-39,100+ Rs. 6,600 (Grade Pay) + NPA and other allowance as admissible under Central Residency Scheme will be provided.
   
   

Reservation (for SC/ST/OBC/OPH candidates):

1. I. Reservation has been provided in the above post in accordance with the rules.
   
   
2. II. Reservation for Orthopaedic Physically Handicapped candidates is 5% along with backlog post will be provided on horizontal basis to OPH candidate in their respective categories.
   
   

Candidates applying in OBC/SC/ST category should posses the cast certificate issued by competent authority, valid for administration / Job in Central Govt. Institutions issued before the date of interview, falling which he/she shall not be allowed to

appear in the interview for the same category. However, he/she can be treated as UR candidate, if in merit through written examination, subject to verification by Examination Recruitment cell.

Selection Procedure:

1. I. The candidate can apply only in any one out of enlisted department.
   
   
2. II. The written examination of 80 marks will be based on the MCQ in the subject concerned and 20 marks for personal interview will be conducted at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar. The date of written examination and /or personal interview will be uploaded in AIIMS, Bhubaneswar website(www.aiimsbhubaneswar.edu.in ).
   
   
3. III. Candidates will be sent intimation about the written examination and/or personal interview through e-mail/post and the same is required to be produced at the time of examination.
   
   
4. IV. The merit list (selected and waiting list) for all categories i.e UR/OBC/SC/ST shall prepared on the basis of combined marks of written test and personal interview.
   
   
5. V. Any vacancy arising because of none joining by selected candidates in this selection or by resignation of candidates post will be offered to the candidates from waiting list according to the merit. All applicants must provide phone numbers and e-mail/fax number faster communication.
