Essential Qualification	First Class Masters degree in Statistics / Bio-statistics from a recognized university / Institute with 2 years experience in managing health related data.
Desirable Qualification and Experience	Experience in Health Research / AIDS Research Knowledge of Computer Applications Data analysis and assisting in report writing
Age Limit	40 Years (including 5 Years age relaxation for SC Candidates)
Emoluments	Rs.48000/- + HRA Per Month
Nature of Duties	Carry out extensive visit to various Laboratories and sentinel sites across India. Conducting Regional and State level trainings. Data analysis and assisting in report writing.
Duration	6 Months (Renewable for the project duration subject to performance and project requirement)

Project	Congenital Rubella Syndrome Surveillance in India
Place of Posting	National Institute of Epidemiology, Chennai.

Essential Qualification	MBBS Degree with Post Graduate qualification (MD/DNB/) or equivalent from a recognized University / Institute with one (1) year R&D / teaching experience in Community Medicine (Preventive & Social Medicine) / Pediatrics / General Medicine / Epidemiology / Public Health. OR MBBS Degree with Postgraduate diploma qualification in Community Medicine (Preventive & Social Medicine) / Child Health or MPH Or MAE from a recognized University / Institute with two (2) years R&D / teaching experience in the above subjects. OR MBBS Degree recognized by MCI or equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institute with four (4) years R&D / teaching experience in Community Medicine (Preventive & Social Medicine) / Pediatrics Epidemiology / Public Health after obtaining MBBS Degree.
Desirable Qualification and Experience	Additional Postdoctoral research/ teaching experience in above subjects in recognized institute (s) Knowledge of MS Office and statistical Packages.
Emoluments	Rs.64,000/- + HRA Per Month
Notes	MD / PhD in the above subjects shall be treated equivalent to three years experience. MPH / MAE / MVSc / Postgraduate Diploma in above subjects shall be treated equivalent to two years experience.
Age Limit	40 Years.
Nature of Duties	To provide support for planning, managing and implementation of various components of the project Prepare study protocols/SOPs & training materials Travel (field visits) to surveillance sites anywhere in India for Monitoring & Evaluation. Analyze data using statistical software like SPSS, Epi Info, etc. Responsible for preparation of progress reports and activity reports. Conduct meetings / workshops / training programs related to the project h) Any other work assigned by the Director/PI/Co-PI/Superior officer

Desirable Qualification and Experience	Experience in conducting surveillance programme preferably in HIV related field Knowledge in computer applications
Age Limit	40 years.
Emoluments	Rs.51000/- + HRA Per Month
Nature of Duties	Work as project coordinator for the project Carry out extensive field visit to various sentinel sites across India Conducting Regional and state level trainings.
Duration	6 months (renewable for the project duration subject to performance and project requirement)

Instructions to the applicant:

Skype Interview will be held for the Post of Scientists.
Age Relaxation is admissible in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India Rules,

in respect of the posts reserved for those categories.
Age concession to the extent of service rendered in other research projects will also be admissible for experience and skilled persons.

Clear proof of Qualifications, Experience, Caste / Community should be attached. Applications without these required attachments shall be rejected.

Date / time of Skype interview will be intimated through email for Eligible/ Shortlisted candidates.

Experience certificate should clearly state the nature of work during the period of employment.
Community/ Caste certificate: Candidates applying under OBC category, shall submit attested copy of OBC Non Creamy Layer Certificate in specified format, issued within one year from the closing date of application by the appropriate authority. Only Non Creamy Layer OBC certificates will be accepted and other certificates will not be accepted.
No- Objection Certificate from the current employer (for Govt./AB/PSU Servants only).
All posts are Contractual for the duration offered. The appointment may be renewed after every specific period of time subject to satisfactory performance and project requirement.
The incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments under NIE/ICMR or continuation of his/her services in any other project.
TA/DA will not be paid by NIE for attending the written test/ interview.
The Institute reserves the right to fill up or not to fill the advertised posts.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Skype Interview.

The Director/Selection Committee has the right to accept / reject any application without assigning any reason thereof and no recommendation in this matter will be entertained.
