Profile of Training and Placement Advisor at IIEST, Shibpur

Graduation in Engineering with a minimum total industrial experience of 25 years in heading multiple functions like Human Resources, Engineering Sales and Services, Manufacturing, Project management and Consulting. Heading Human Resources, with experience in Training, Skill developments, Mentorships, Educational programs and Recruitment is a mandatory.

Could establish an effective, strong and interactive IIEST alumni network. Could establish relationships with Alumni at the top and mid-level management in organisations across companies.

Preference would be given with proven record of establishing developmental activities and programs for IIEST students.

Contacts with companies across corporate cities of the country.

Prior experience of developing learning centres with IT infrastructure.

Prior experience of organizing knowledge based programs like seminars, workshops, tutorials.

Network with broad range of faculty members and other volunteering activities of IIEST are considered as plus.

Candidate should:

Extend his/her expertise to enhance the overall placement situation of the institute.

Establish network with the industry.

Improve the present network of the institute with broader alumni community.

Work to establish the brand value of the institute.

Identify the technical and behavioural training needs and help to increase the acceptability of our students to the industry.

Help developing communication skills and work to increase general awareness of the students.

Identify methods for grooming intellectual and personal developments.

Improve institute-industry partnerships for internships that may eventually lead to employment.

Remuneration will depend on the experience and qualification and will be mutually agreed upon. The appointment will be initially for a period of one year, which can be extended up to three years on satisfactory performance.
