One JRF position is open to work in Early Career Research Award Project titled Understanding and Modeling the Reactive Transport of Uranium Contaminated Groundwater of Malwa Region, Punjab under the supervision of undersigned. The position is temporary and available immediately. The selected candidate may be permitted to register for PhD program as per the existing institute norms.
Essential Qualifications: First class B. Tech in Civil Engineering and PG degree in any of the following: Environmental Engineering, Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering or related areas.
Desirable Qualification: Experience in performing column transport experiments in lab and its associated data processing, Expertise in using geochemical/transport models PHREEQC, Hydrus, and other related. Experience with independent handling of Environmental laboratory equipment (viz. IC, ICP, AAS, HPLC, etc.) and field soil and groundwater sampling.
Duration of the Contract: Initially 1 year and possible extension of 2 more years based on satisfactory performance. The selected JRF may be allowed to enrol for PhD in Civil engineering if found meeting the requirements for the same.
Emoluments: As per SERB, DST norms.
How to Attend? Interested and qualified candidates can attend the interview scheduled on: 17August, 2018 (Friday) at 9:30 AM in the Civil Engineering department of IIT Ropar, located at Transit Campus I (Nangal Road). The following documents should be brought for verification purpose:
- Originals of all degree certificates
- All mark lists (high school to PG)
- Experience certificates, if any.
- Copy of PG thesis, project reports etc.
5. Copies of journal publications, if any. Please note that no TA/DA will be given to the candidates.
