Advertisement for the position of Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under DST-SERB Project

Walk-in-Interview on 29th January 2018 for engagement of Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the research project funded by DST SERB scheme, Government of India at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.

TITLE OF THE RESEARCH PROJECT: Search of new materials showing exotic superconducting and magnetic properties in bulk and mesoscale

PROJECT INVESTIGATOR/S: Prof. Ashok K Ganguli and Dr. Kiran S Hazra

NAME OF THE POSITION AVAILABLE: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Project

NUMBER OF POSITIONS AVAILABLE: One

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential: Master Degree in Physics/ Chemistry with NET/GATE qualification OR Master degree in Engineering.

Desirable: Experience in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Material Synthesis, Characterization.

AGE LIMIT: Must not be over 28 years as on 29th January, 2018 which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.

SALARY: Rs. 25000 + 20 % HRA

DURATION OF ENGAGEMENT: Initially one year and may be extended based on performance of the candidate.

DATE, TIME AND VENUE OF INTERVIEW: 29th January, 2018 from 10.00 am at INST Mohali

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis and renewable subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of one and a half years. The position is co-terminus with the project. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of INST provided they satisfy eligibility criteria. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
