Advertisement for JRF Position

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Project Fellow in a DST funded Research Project.

Objectives of the Project

The main aim of project is to identify the lead molecules binding to the human G-quadruplex through NMR and other biophysical methods. We also intend to work on protein purification for NM23-H2 and related cellular and molecular studies.

Eligibility

Essential Qualification:

M.Sc. (with valid GATE)/ M. Tech. Degree or equivalent in streams like Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Bioinformatics / Life Sciences or in any other science and engineering stream.

Desirable:

Candidates having experience in performing experiments using biophysical techniques viz. NMR, CD, ITC and familiar with cell culture techniques will be given preference. CSIR / UGC/ DBT-JRF fellowship holders would also be preferred.

Monthly Stipend:

As per norms (i.e. about Rs. 25,000 + 20% HRA (if hostel accommodation is not provided))

Duration:

Initial appointment will be for 6 months, which is extendable solely based on performance.
