Scientific Glass Blowing training centre, Guindy (Chennai), TIFR (Bombay), BARC (Bombay), NPL (Delhi), NCL (Pune) and CSIR institutions with minimum 4 years relevant experience in a post in Pay Level 5 or equivalent in Govt./Autonomous Bodies/PSU/Research Laboratories/Reputed Private Organisations.

b) Should have experience of working in MS-Office and other computer softwares relevant to the area of work/specialization.

Desirable:

Experience in handling sophisticated laboratory equipment in reputed Educational Institutions or Research Laboratories.

Preference will be given to Persons with Disabilities, even where reservation is not marked in the table given in the advertisement, if suitable PwDs are available.

(a) The Institute reserves its right to place a reasonable limit on the total number of candidates to be called.

(b) Fulfillment of qualifications per-se does not entitle a candidate to be called.

(c) The Institute reserves the right not to fill up the posts, cancel the Advt. in whole or in part without assigning any reason and its decision in this regard shall be final.

(a) The SC/ST and OBCs-NCL are required to attach a copy of the Caste Certificate with the application in the format prescribed by the Govt. of India [A copy of the same certificate shall be collected before the interview (wherever applicable), failing which the candidate concerned may not be allowed for his/ her personal interview].

(b) The Institute follows the reservation norms as per GOI rules for SC/ ST/ OBC and PwDs. Central Govt. approved list of SC, ST and OBC categories is applicable at IIT (ISM), Dhanbad.

The closing date for submission of application shall be the cut-off date for age, educational qualification and experience.

Maximum age limit for the internal candidates shall be 50 years.

The Institute reserves the right to assign/ transfer the selected candidates to any section/department within the Institute and appointments will be offered accordingly.

(a) The Institute reserves the right to relax any of the qualifications/ experience in exceptional cases.

(b) Higher initial basic pay may be given to exceptionally qualified and deserving candidate(s).

The selection process will be as under:

(a) For the post of Senior Technical Assistant/Senior Scientific Assistant: - Written Test & Computer Test followed by Practical-cum-Aptitude Test of qualifying nature and Interview.

The minimum qualifying marks/standards for Written & Computer Tests and Practical-cum-Aptitude Test shall be decided by the respective Selection Committee (s). Only the candidates who will qualify in the Written & Computer Tests will be called to appear in the Practical-cum-Aptitude Test and having declared qualified in the test will be called for Interview. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance in the Written & Computer Tests and Interview having weightage of 75% and 25% respectively.

(b) For the post of Technical Assistant/Scientific Assistant:- Practical-cum-Aptitude Test of qualifying nature followed by Written Test & Computer Test.

The minimum qualifying standards for Practical-cum-Aptitude Test shall be decided by the respective Selection Committee (s). Only the candidates who will qualify the Branch specific Practical trade Test & Computer Test will be called for Written Test. Final selection shall be on the basis of performance in the Written Test group wise.

(a) No TA will be paid for written/skill tests. However, the candidates recommended for interview for the post of Sr. Technical Assistant/Sr. Scientific Assistant will be paid for the train journey by AC-III Tier by shortest route on submission of tickets in original.

Prescribed application may be downloaded from the Institutes website www.iitism.ac.in and submitted to the Deputy Registrar (Estt.), Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, Dhanbad 826 004 (Jharkhand); along with necessary fees by way of a crossed demand draft of RS. 100/- drawn in favour of Registrar, IIT(ISM), Dhanbad payable at Dhanbad. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from paying application fee.

(a) Legal disputes, if any, regarding the above will be restricted within the jurisdiction of Dhanbad only.

(b) Last date for receipt of completed application in all respects at IIT(ISM), Dhanbad for above positions is 27 August, 2018, 5.30 p.m.
