JRF and Project Assistant Positions in Robotics Lab

Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for a JRF position and for a Project Assistant position in the area of Human-Centered Robotics.

Description

Applications are invited for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position and one Project Assistant (PA) position for a DST/SERB sponsored project.

The work involves development of robotic tools and technologies that are to be used for human walking analysis. The main focus is on creating a portable sensor system for gait characterization and performance measurement. The project work also involves experiments with human subjects and data processing.

Duration of Position

Initial appointments will be for six months, both positions are extendable as per performance.

Required Skills

JRF: Candidates are expected to have at least a B.Tech (or equivalent) degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or allied fields. A higher degree (M.Tech/ PhD), or prior work experience in the area will be preferable. GATE score is mandatory.

PA: Candidates are expected to have at least a B.Tech (or equivalent) degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or allied fields.

For both positions, candidates with programming experience in Matlab, C++ and Python for controllers, like Arduinos, Rasberry Pi, Beagle Bone etc. will be preferred.

Remuneration

JRF: As per SERB norms

PA: Rs. 15,000/- per month
