IIT Jammu invites online applications from enthusiastic graduates to apply for full-time, one year graduate internship program to actively participate in teaching, research and institute building activities.

Applications are invited in the following disciplines / areas of broad specialization. Chemical Engineering Chemistry Civil Engineering Computer Science Engineering Electrical Engineering Humanities and Social Sciences Mathematics Mechanical Engineering Physics

Scope of the work:

He/She will be working as a teaching assistant (TA) in labs (developing content and conducting labs, grading reports) while assisting faculty and/or staff members. He/She will be working as a teaching assistant for lecture classes (developing tutorials, grading quizzes, documenting and developing assignments). He/She will be actively involved in assisting the faculty of the concerned department for preparing course material, laboratory manuals and processing other documents. He/She will also be involved in assisting in the faculty in the Research Laboratories based on the need/requirement of the faculty. He/She should be able to do multi-tasking as each candidate may work under more than one faculty in the institute carrying out various responsibilities.

Desired Skills:

1) The selected candidate should have good knowledge of undergraduate courses and should be familiar with the laboratory equipment (simulators and hardware) used at the undergraduate level in his/her discipline.

2) Candidates should have good communication skills (oral and written) and should be able to interact with faculty and students efficiently. He/She should be well versed with office tools.

Total remuneration: up to Rs. 35,000/-per month (consolidated)

Duration: One year

Shortlisting Criteria:

M.Tech. in Engineering discipline (Chemical / Civil / Computer Science / Electrical / Mechanical) OR M.Sc. in Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics OR relevant post graduate degree in Humanities and Social Sciences.

First Division (60% or 6.5 CGPA or equivalent) at all levels starting from secondary education/10^th class.

The shortlisted candidates shall be notified for written test/interview at IIT Jammu.
