Qualification

Graduate in Science/Commerce/Law/ Management/ Transportation / Infrastructure/ Urban Planning from an institute of repute.

OR

Engineering Degree or Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Automobile/ Civil / Transportation, from an institute of repute.

Experience

For recruitment on contract basis: Minimum 10 years post qualification experience (out of which, at least 2 years should be in executive cadre in the immediate lower grade of E4 (IDA pattern) or equivalent pay scale or rank in Government) in any of the transport related domains, viz., administration, operation, implementation or enforcement.

For recruitment on re- employment basis:

Retired Officers of Government Departments / Organizations / PSUs in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 (grade pay Rs.7600/-; CDA pattern) or in the pay scale of Rs.29100-54500 (IDA pattern) or equivalent pay scales in Government with minimum 20 years of experience (out of which, at least 7 years should be in executive cadre) in any of the transport related domains, viz., administration, operation, implementation or enforcement.

Should have worked at least 2 years in the immediate lower grade of E4 (IDA pattern) or equivalent pay scale or rank in Government.

For recruitment on contract basis or Re-employment basis:

The candidate shall posses good knowledge of Acts /

Rules / Judgments / Policies / Govt. orders pertaining to Motor Vehicles, Road Safety, Taxation or Public transport fare. Shall posses experience in planning and implementation of routes, time table, transport, road safety, traffic, enforcement and also in interacting with various Govt. Depts, agencies, transport operators and public. Candidates from Motor Vehicles department shall be given preference.

Job Description

Interfacing with consultants, operators, Govt. Depts, agencies and local self Govts, for developing an Integrated Transport system for Kochi.
Involve in the matters related to establishment of Metropolitan Transport Authority-Kochi.
Liaising with Dept. of Transport and Motor Vehicles Dept. Govt. of Kerala, in all matters related to Integrated Public Transport Project.
Liaising with KSRTC / KURTC / Private Bus Operators on preparation of Integrated Bus Time Table (IBTT) and its implementation.
Assist in preparation of integrated time table.
Liaising with govt. agencies on implementation of Intelligent Transport System.
Initiate planning and implementation of Metro feeder services.
Planning and implementation of enforcement strategies of common command and control center for intelligent transport system.
Assist in the implementation process of comprehensive mobility plan.

Pay and Emoluments

For recruitment on contract basis:

The candidate selected in E5 grade shall be in the pay scale of Rs.32900 58000 (IDA) and other perquisites as applicable to E5 grade as per KMRL approved policies.

For recruitment on Re-employment basis:

The pay structure, allowances along with perquisites applicable candidates recruited on re-employment basis shall be as under:

1. Basic Pay- will be the last drawn basic pay minus pension, if any

2.Dearness Allowances- as revised by the Government from time to time on the last drawn basic pay. The candidate will not be eligible for dearness relief on basic pension.

3. Other perquisites- as applicable to E5 grade as

per KMRL approved policies.

Maximum age limit

(as on 1st December 2017)

47 years (for recruitment on contract basis) / 58 years (for re employment).

General Conditions:-

Experience and age can be relaxed in case of otherwise exceptionally deserving candidates.
The number of vacancies shown above is tentative and may undergo change.

No TA/DA will be paid by KMRL to candidates for attending interview.
