RECRUITMENT OF ASSISTANT LINEMAN AGAINST CRA 289/16

Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd., a power generating and distributi ng organization of Government of Punjab is looking for the recruitment of Assistant Lineman from the candidates who have completed 2 yars Apprenticeship in the trade of Lineman. Preference will be given to those candidates who have done 2 years apprenticeship in PSPCL I PSTCL or erstwhile PSEB. If above candidates are not available, the other candidates having 2 year apprenticeship in the trade of lineman from any other state/BBMB etc will be considered.

NOTE:- During the Probation period mentioned in the offer of appointment or extended probation period, newly appointed candidate shall be paid 'fixed monthly emoluments' of initial pay only and this will not include any Grade Pay, Dearness allowance, annual increment or any other allowance except the travelling allowance as per entitlement of the post held by such candidate. Hm,vever, in case of appointment of candidates already in service in PSPCL, their pay shall be protected if the 'fixed monthly emoluments' in the offer of appointment are lower than the pay actually drawn by them on the post on which they hold lien. But they will not be given any increment or any other allowance except TA d u ring the ProLation Period. When the services of PSPCL employee are regularized in that case the period spent on probation by them shall not be treated to be time spent on such post.

-4. QUALIFICATION:

The cand idates should meet with the following qualificati ons:

i) Matriculation.

1. 2 Years National Apprenticeshi p Certificate in Lineman Trade.

2. The candidates who possess higher education i.e. Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering will be considered only if they have minimum qualifications i.e. National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade.

NOTE: Preference will be given to those candidates who have done Two Years Apprenticeship in the trade of lineman from PSPCL/ PSTCL or erstwhile PSEB. If above candidates are not available, the other candidates having Two Years Apprenticeship in the trade of Lineman from any other State/BBMB etc. will be considered.

5. KNOWLEDGE OF PUNJABI:

All the candidates must have passed Punjabi of at least Matriculation or its equivalent level till the date of Document checking.

1. AGE LIMIT:

   18 to 37 years as on 1.1.2017. (As per Govt. of Punjab, Department of Personnel, PP- I Branch Notification dated 24th May, 2010)

2. RELAXATION IN AGE LIMIT:

   Upper age limit is relaxable as admissible under rules/ instructions of PSPCL/ Punjab Government. Relaxation in age in different categories as given below:

   a	SC/ST and Backward class:	5 years over & above the normal recruitment age.
   b.	Ex-Serviceman:	To the extent of service rendered in Armed Forces of Union oflndia subject to usual terms and conditions.
   C.	Physically Handicapped:	10 years over and above the normal recruitment age.
   d	In case of the following, the upper age limit shall be 40 years subject to the condition that the candidate is meeting other eligibility criteria for the post. i. Widows; 11. Women who are legally Separated from their husbands or have been divorced; Ill. Women whose husbands have been ordered by Civil or Criminal courts to pay maintenance to them;
   E	For serving employees of PSPCL I PSTCL : To the extent of service rendered in PSPCL/ PSTCL or erstwhile PSEB.

   1. Women who because of their desertion, have been living separately from their Husbands for more than two years.

   2. Women whose husbands have re-married; and

   3. Wives of the serving military personnel and wives of those who are disabled while in Military service.

3. RESERVATION OF POSTS:

The relaxation of reserved categories is applicable for Punjab Domicile only. The category wise actual number of posts will be worked out on the basis of running roster point as per reservation policy of Punjab Government and adopted by PSPCL from time to time.

Category once filled in the online application form will not be changed and no benefit of other category I Sub category will be admissible later on. The reserve category candidate will be required to submit requisite certificate in the prescribed form at the time of checking of original documents, if he appears in the merit list.

NOTE:

i)

For Physically Challenged Person

As per the instructions of Punjab Government vide D.O No. 10/24/97- SSS/4083/4109 dated 19.08.1999, candidate with partial hearing disability is only eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Lineman being technical post. Candidate having any other disability would not be considered for recruitment to the said post.

For Sports Person

ii) Sports person category candidates are eligible only if they are Ist I Ilnd I IIIrd position holders in 'C' grade certificate issued by Director Sports Punjab. Final merit of Sports Person candidate will be prepared by the office of Director Sports Punjab on the basis of Sports Gradation certificates issued by his Office.

1. SELECTION PROCESS:

   Selection will be made purely on merit basis. The merit will be made as per marks obtained in National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman trade. The

   percentage marks obtained shall be rounded off to the nearest 2nd decimal digit for preparing the merit. No weightage shall be given for higher qualifications.

2. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

   The PSPCL reserves the right to modify I alter the above mode of recruitment as well as decrease I increases the number of posts advertised without any notice. PSPCL reserves the right to call the final selected candidates once put up on the merit list, as per the number of actual vacancies available.

   11 The candidate must possess the prescribed qualifications as per para-4 including 2 years Apprenticeship in the trade of Lineman and reservation certificate up to the last date of online registration. The candidates whose results have been officially and publically declared till the last date of online registration shall only be eligible to apply. The candidates possessing the qualifications higher than the prescribed one will be considered only if they possess the minimum prescribed qualifications i.e. 2 years National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade.

   iii Candidates serving in any department including PSPCL/PSTCL will be required to submit "No Objection Certificate" through their Heads of Departments if selected, before offer of appointment for the above post is issued to the candidate, failing which his/her candidature is liable to be rejected.

   1v No service benefit of any nature of previous service rendered in any department (other than PSPCL) will be admissible. The selected candidates will be governed by PSPCL Rules & Regulations.

   v Candidates are advised to keep the E-mail ID to be entered compulsorily in

   the online application form and which should remain active for at least 6 months I up to completion of selection process, and no change in the E-mail ID will be allowed once entered.

   v1 In case of any ambiguity/ dispute or interpretation, decision of the PSPCL shall be final and binding on the candidate. Legal jurisdiction shall be subject to Local Courts at Patiala only.

   vii No manual/ paper application will be entertained

   vm Certificates in support of reservation of posts must have been obtained on or before the last date of registration of applications. Any certificate issued after this date shall not be entertained. Candidate shall submit the attested copy of these certificates/ documents at the time of checking of original documents

   ix It should be clearly understood by the candidate that during the entire period of probation, his posting place will not be changed.

   x The selected candidates shall undergo training of 4 months in various organizations/installations of PSPCL/PSTCL and in technical training Institute of PSPCL at Patiala or other places. In case the work & conduct of the selected candidates during training period is not satisfactory, their services shall be terminated immediately.

3. HOW TO APPLY:

   1. Candidates are required to apply On-line through PSPCL website in English only. No other means/mode of submission of applkations including manual/hand written application will be accepted under any circumstances.

ii) Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail ID. It should be kept active during the entire recruitment process.

iii) Candidates should take utmost care to furnish the correct details whi le filling in on-line application. Any mistake committed by the candidate shall be his/her sole responsibility. No subsequent corrections/modifications are allowed once the online application is registered.

   0 Print the Bank Challan.

   0 Deposit the requisite fee in any SBOP branch now SBI after two days of registration. Last date of depositing the fee is 12.5.2017.

   D Print application from the website two days after depositing the fee in the Bank.

4. PSPCL does not take any responsibility for the candidates not being able to register their applications up to the last date due to any reason.

6. The decision of the PSPCL about the mode of selection to the post and eligibility conditions shall be final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained in

this regard.

12 FEE (NON REFUNDABLE) : The candidate is required to deposit the

fee plus Bank charges along with challan in any Branch of SBOP now SBI as per the details given below:-

The candidate is advised to keep the signed copy of the application form and copy of the Bank challan duly paid to the Bank and he/she will produce the same during document checking.

PSPCL shall match the receipt of the fee in the Bank with the details given by the candidate and the. final acceptance of the application shall be only if the details available in the Bank are matching with the details filled by the candidate in the on-line application. Any mismatch found will lead to the cancellation of application.
