II. Precise statement of Objectives:
The consultant will assist the Core Group that will be set up for preparation of National Disaster Management Guidelines on Risk Management of Centrally Protected Monuments and Heritage Precincts.
III. Outline of the tasks to be carried out:
In addition to the deliverables, following tasks may be performed.
(i) Compile data for preparation of guidelines under the Core Group for Preparation of Disaster Management guidelines on Risk Management of Centrally Protected Monuments and Heritage Precincts.
(ii) Based on inputs from the Core Group and data collected, would draft guidelines for disaster management of centrally protected monuments and heritage precincts in India including guidelines for disaster risk management in Museums.
(iii) Develop data-base of global best initiatives and use these inputs in preparation of above guidelines.
(iv) Develop innovative approaches to mainstream Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in Risk Management of Centrally Protected Monuments and Heritage Precincts in India.
(v) Undertake preparation of a Disaster Management Plan for one World Heritage site and one Heritage Precinct, as decided by the Core Group
(vi) Coordinate and assist the Core Group in undertaking field visits and its meetings.
(vii) Record proceedings of the meetings of the Core Group and submit draft minutes of the meetings for approval.
(viii) Any other work assigned by Chairman / Co-chairman of the Core Group.
IV. Schedule for completion of Tasks:
The task is to be completed within a period of nine months..
V. Support or inputs to be provided by NDMA to facilitate the Consultancy:
Member, NDMA will provide guidance to the Consultant.
VI. Final outputs that will be required of the consultant at the end of the consultancy period should be specified
Based on the observations and suggestions of Chairman/ Members of the Core Group for preparation of National Disaster Management Guidelines on Risk Management of Centrally Protected Monuments and Heritage Precincts, final draft guidelines will be submitted for consideration/ approval.
