Notification for Walk-In-Interview of SRO (2-nositions)

Applications are invited for two positions of Senior Research Officer (SRO) purely on temporary basis forthe period of six months (August 2018 to January 2019) in the Institute's sponsored Project _"Causes and Consequences of Out-Migration from Middle Ganga Plain". The duration is extendable on satisfactory discharge of assigned responsibilities. The requirement details ofthe above said post are given

as under:

01.	Responsibilities	analysis, preparation of reports and necessary documentation	etc.
		. Should be able to carry out field related responsibilities such as
		monitoring and supervision of field work and collection qualitative data
		o Other responsibilities related to project that may be assigned from time to
		time.
	Qualifications	Essential
		o M Phil / PhD in Population Studies /Social Sciences OR
		o MPS with one-year work experience OR
		. Masters in Population Studies / Social Sciences/ Management or
		equivalent with two year of work experience in population related
		research project.

Desirable

1. o Experience in conducting field based research in migration,
   
   
2. o Experience in large scale data handling, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, table interpretation and report writing etc.
   
   

. Experience in handling of statistical and demographic software to analyse quantitative and qualitative data.

o Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Salary Rs. 25,000 per month (consolidated)

Educational qualification and work experience may be relaxed in deserving cases. Selection willbe done through a written test on basic skill (as per project requirement) and walk-in-interview.
