WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
SUB : WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR RECRUITMENT OF ASSISTANT PROFESSORS IN VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS AT AIIMS BHUBANESWAR ON CONTRACTUAL BASIS.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar an Autonomous Institute of National Importance is one of the new AIIMS and apex healthcare Institute being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) with the aim of correcting regional imbalance in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country, and attaining self-sufficiency in graduate, postgraduate and higher medical education and training.
The Institute will conduct a Walk-in-Interview to be held on 08.07.2018 at 9.00 A.M. at the Committee Room, Jai Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Centre, AIIMS, New Delhi-110029 for the post of Assistant Professors on contractual basis for a period one year or till the post is filled up through regular recruitment process, whichever is earlier in various Departments of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar (Odisha). Accordingly, all interested eligible candidates are hereby informed to attend the Walk-in-Interview as per the schedule date as mentioned below. The details of category-wise vacancies is as under :

Note :-
- The above vacancies are provisional and subject to variation. The Director, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar reserves the right to vary the vacancies including reserved vacancies as per the Govt. of India Rules/Circulars and requirements.
- The above assignments are purely on contract basis, initially for a period of 1(one) year or till the joining of regular appointee whichever is earlier.
- Reservation will be as per Government of India Policy. However, DoPT guidelines on reservation will be final.
- Requisite Percentage of the total vacancies is horizontally reserved for PwD(OH) candidates for identified specified categories of disability as permissible under the Rules. All the instructions of Govt. of India as applicable in this regard will be followed.
- The cut-off date to determine the eligibility criteria i.e., maximum age limit, essential qualification & experiences will be determined as on 30.09.2018.
- The period of experience wherever prescribed shall be counted after obtaining the prescribed qualification.

I. Qualification and Experience for the post of Assistant Professor is as under :
Essential for Medical Candidates(for General Discipline)
- 1. A medical Qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. (Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in section 13(3) of the Act.).
- 2. A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
Experience:
Three years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D. /M.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Essential for Superspeciality disciplines:
- 1. A medical Qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. (Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in section 13(3) of the Act.).
- 2. A post graduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in respective discipline/subject.
- 3. D.M. in the respective discipline/subject for medical super specialities and M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject for surgical super specialities (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Experience:
One years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M./M.Ch. (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 3 years recognised degree of D.M/M.Ch. or qualification recognised equivalent thereto.

II. TERMS AND CONDITIONS :
- 1. The candidates have to possess the minimum qualification and experiences as on the cut-off date i.e., 30.09.2018 for the post of Assistant Professor in the concerned department as mentioned.
- 2. Age limit :- The maximum upper age limit is 50 years as on 30.09.2018. However, age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD and other categories of candidates will be as per the Rule.
- 3. The period of engagement will be for a period of one year or the post is filled on regular basis whichever is earlier. The engagement will be purely on contractual basis and it will not bestow any rights implicitly or explicitly upon the candidate to claim any permanent absorption or any liability by the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar on termination of the contract.
- 4. The period of contractual engagement can be terminated by the candidate with one month of notice period or remuneration in lieu of the notice period if he/she resigns from the post prematurely. However, Institute will have rights to terminate the engagement at any time without citing any reasons.
- 5. Salary: - The consolidated monthly remuneration for the post of Assistant Professor is Rs.1.00 Lakh. No other allowance/facilities extended to the regular/permanent faculty will be applicable to them.
- 6. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD will be as per the Rule.
- 7. Interested Candidates who fulfils all eligibility criteria may attend the walk-in-interview in prescribed application format alongwith self-attested copies of all education qualifications (Matriculation onwards), experiences etc. establishing their eligibility for the post. The application completed in all respects should be present at the above-mentioned walk-in-interview venue and schedule for document verification and subsequent interview.

III. GENERAL CONDITIONS :
- 1. The applicants attending walk-in-interview in response to this advertisement should satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility for the post applied for. They must be fulfilling eligibility criteria as on the cut-off date i.e., 30.09.2018. In case of their selection, they have to meet all eligibility criteria as on the cut-off date, offer of appointments will only be issued to those who submit proof of meeting all eligibility criteria as on the cut-off date. However, the decision of the Competent Authority to issue of appointment to the selected candidates will be final.
- 2. Candidates attending the walk-in-interview under any of the reserved category posts, viz. SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy)/OH will be considered subject to Caste/OH Certificate issued by the Appropriate/Competent Authority on the prescribed format. Community should be clearly and legibly mentioned in the Certificate.
OBC candidates eligibility will be based on the caste(s) borne in the Central List of Government of India. OBC candidate(s) should not belongs to Creamy Layer and their sub-caste should be match with the entries in Central List of OBC, failing which their candidatures will not be considered under any of the applied reserved category post(s).
- 3. Only such persons would be eligible for reservation under OH quota in service/posts who suffer from not less than 40% of physical disability. Person who wants to avail the benefit of reservation would have to submit a Disability Certificate as issued by a Competent Authority in prescribed format.
- 4. The candidates must possess the educational qualification and experiences as recognised by the Govt. of India as on the cut-off date. Their candidature will be cancelled at any stage if it is found that their educational qualification or experiences is not recognised by the Govt. of India.
- 5. Site of the Walk-in-Interview: The Walk-in-Interviews will be held at the Committee Room, Jai Prakash Apex Trauma Centre, AIIMS, New Delhi-110029. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the Interview. Reporting Time: - Candidates have to report for Document Verification at the Committee Room, Jai Prakash Apex Trauma Centre, AIIMS, New Delhi-110029 from 8.30 A.M onwards on the schedule date of Walk-in-Interview alongwith filled in application and copies of self-attested documents. No candidates will be allowed to attend the Walk-in-interview if he/she reports after 10.00 A.M. on that date.
- 6. Leave: The leave entitlement of the appointee shall be governed in terms and instructions contained in DoP&T OM No. 12016/3/84-Estt.(L) dated 12.04.1985 as amended from time to time.
- 7. He/she should also note that he/she will have to conform to the Rules of discipline and conduct as applicable to the Institute employees.
- 8. No travelling or other allowances will be paid to the candidate for interview or for joining the post.
- 9. The appointee shall not be entitled to any benefit like Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, seniority, promotion etc. or any other benefits available to the Government employees appointed on regular basis.
- 10. The appointee shall be on the whole-time appointment of the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar and shall not accept any other assignment, paid or otherwise and shall not engage himself/herself in a private practice of any form during the period of the contract.
- 11. The appointment to the said post will be subject to medical fitness from the competent medical board for which he/she will be sent to the designated Medical Authority.
- 12. On, appointment, the appointee will be required to take an oath of allegiance to the constitution of India or make a solemn affirmation to that effect in the prescribed proforma.
- 13. The terms and condition of this advertisement will only be applicable to this selection process having no bearing on any such similar selection process conducted/to be conducted by the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar in past/future.
- 14. AIIMS, Bhubaneswar decision is final: The decision of the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, penalty for false information, mode of selection, conduct of examination(s), any other matter in connection with the selections process will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry / correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
