Advt No.5/2017 : Engineer C (CIVIL)
National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Tata Institute for Fundamental Research (TIFR) a premier research centre under the aegis of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, is looking for filling up of the following position:
ENGINEER 'C' ( CIVIL) - One (1) Post (Unreserved)
Qualification& Experience:
Essential :
1) Degree in Civil Engineering (BE/B.Tech) with 60% marks.
2) One (1) - Two (2) years experience in construction and maintenance of various services in an Institutional building, including preparation of estimates, work specifications, measurements and billing.
Desirable Experience:
1) Good knowledge of CPWD work procedures and building codes.
2) Knowledge of Autocad and use of personal computers and its applications.
Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB-3-Grade Pay:Rs. 5400/- TME: Rs. 62444/- ( Likely to be revised as per recomendations of VII CPC)
Age limit: - 28 years

The appointment for the post shall be initially for a period of three years, including probation period of one year. Continuing appointment beyond the initial period of three years will be subject to the results of a comprehensive review and performance appraisal. After successful review, the appointment will be continued till superannuation age, which is sixty. The selected candidates shall be required to join immediately.The institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for the recruitment process to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualification and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
Mere fulfilling the essential and desirable qualifications will not entitle an applicant to be called for consideration for recruitment. The institute reserves the right not to fill above post herein advertised in case suitable candidates are not found. Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidate.
Selected candidates for the above posts will be governed by the New Pension Scheme applicable to the Central Government service [unless they are already governed by CCS (Pension) Rules 1972].
The posts are tenable at Bangalore but is liable to be transferred if the need arises to the Institutes headquarters at Mumbai or any other field Stations. Those working in Govt./Semi Govt./Public Sector Undertaking should apply Through Proper Channel.
