Eligible candidates are invited for contractual engagement of non-regular nature as Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and Project Assistant (PA) under DST, Govt. of West Bengal Project entitled Assessment of vulnerability of jute production to climate change and its mitigation strategies development using remote sensing and GIS in West Bengal at this Institute:

Senior Research Fellow (SRF) 01 no.

Masters degree in Remote Sensing & GIS/ Enviromental Science, Agrometeorology/ Geography/ Geology/ Applied Geology/ Soil Science/ Agronomy or equivalent (Minimum 55% marks for General category and 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates) with 2 years experience in RS & GIS/Agricultural research or equivalent.

PG Diploma in Geoinformatics or equivalent NET/GATE/SLET qualified, knowledge in computer programing for spatial data analysis, RDBMS etc.

Project Assistant (PA) o1 no.

Bachelors degree in any discipline with at least 45% marks.

Certificate in Computer application of at least six months duration from a reputed organization

Age limit:-

35 years for men and 40 years for women with relaxation as per rule.

11.07.2018 (Wednesday) at 11 :00 AM

The interview will be held at ICAR-Central Research Institute for Jute & Allied Fibres, (H.Q.), Barrackpore (Saheb Bagan bus stop on Barrackpore Barasat Road)

Important:-

Candidates must bring typed bio-data, one copy of recent photograph, original and attested photocopy of certificates/testimonials in support of age, qualification, experience etc. No TA/DA will be reimbursed for attending the Interview. Candidates must report at 10:00 AM on the scheduled date to appear in the interview. Late comers will not be entertained. No Objection Certificate (NOC) is to be submitted in case the candidate is presently employed elsewhere.
