APPOINTMENT OF TECHNICAL OFFICER ON CONTRACT BASIS

National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) - Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), a premier research Centre is looking for appointment of a Technical Officer for handling Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometer on Contractual terms.

Essential Qualification: Masters in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Environmental Sciences or related subjects with thorough general knowledge of chemistry in terms of chemical characterization and safety with minimum 60% marks.

Desirable: PhD in related subjects with work experience in chromatography or one or two years working experience in any analytical chemistry lab with emphasis on experimental techniques and data interpretation as related to mass spectrometry.

Good organizational skills, ability to work with and help users, troubleshoot instrument problems and develop new analysis protocols are expected. Experience with Microsoft Office products with proficiency in Excel and knowledge of chromatography-related instrument software is preferable.

The selected candidates will be required to join immediately. In deserving cases salary will not be constraint for candidates with higher qualification and relevant experience. The Institute reserves the right to relax the age, qualification and experience at its discretion.
