POST: Deputy Engineer (Testing & Product Support/SSI) NS/S&CS

GRADE: E-II Grade

PERIOD: Fixed Tenure Basis for 5 years.

QUALIFICATION:

First Class in BE/B.TECH( Electronics & Communications, Electronics & Telecommunication/Communication/Telecommunication for General & OBC candidates and Pass class for SC/ST candidates from any AICTE approved Institution/University. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be as per Government guidelines.

POSTING: Bangalore, Delhi, Portblair, Kolkata and Kavaratti

EXPERIENCE:

Should have one year post qualification experience in:

1. Large communication networks, network equipment, network troubleshooting and configuration.

2. Routers, switches, voice gateways, other networking devices, routing protocols, application services.

3. Security solutions including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, virtual private networks, Intrusion Detection Systems.

4. VoIP and Video Infrastructure and its associated software including call management systems and voice mail.

5. Installation and configuration of hardware/software of servers, Storage Area Network devices.

6. VSAT devices such as BUC, LNB , Modems and Antennas.

7. Network Management Solutions: Network Fault Management, Network Performance.

8. Management, Network Traffic Analysis.

9. Windows Operating System and Linux Operating System.

10. Oracle database.

11. OEM certification of the following courses is preferred

a. Cisco Certified Networking Course (CCNA)

b. Microsoft Certified System Engineer Course (MCSE)

The candidates selected will be posted at various locations at Kolkata, Delhi, Portblair and Kavaratti. Candidates should be willing to travel to various locations in India on a regular basis.

POST: - SR. ASST. ENGINEER (CSS) NS/R&FCS

GRADE: E-I Grade

PERIOD:- On short term basis for 5 years may be extended to 10 years based on requirement/performance.

POSTING: All locations across Indian coast including Andaman and Nicobar & Lakshadweep.

Ex-servicemen retired/retiring on or before 31.07.2017 from Army/ Air Force/ Navy personnel with 3 years Diploma in Engineering or equivalent in Electronics/Electronics & Communication / Tele Communication/ Electrical discipline in the rank of JCO or equivalent having 15 years & above post qualification (Professional) experience.

EXPERIENCE

15 years or more relevant post qualification experience in working with Defence Electronic Equipment during their tenure in Defence Service. Candidates with experience in having worked in NSRY (Port Blair) or with BEL Equipment will be given preference.

OTHER INSTRUCTIONS:

AGE RELAXATION: SC-5 years, ST-5years, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) -3 years. For candidates belonging to Persons with Disability (PWD) category having minimum 40% disability will get 5(five) years relaxation in addition to the relaxation applicable to SC/ST/OBC mentioned above.

MODE OF SELECTION: The selection will be through a written test & interview.

The Cutoff date for deciding the maximum permissible age and experience (Post Qualification Experience) shall be 01.08.2017. In order to compute post qualification work experience , the period of work experience starting from the month immediately succeeding the month of final examination in which candidate acquire the essential educational qualification shall be considered.

4. Caste/Tribe Certificate (if applicable) and other relevant certificates.

5. Discharge Certificate/Summary from Defence forces, if applicable.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Reservation / relaxation for SC/ST/OBC Candidates will be as per Government guidelines.

Applications of GEN/OBC candidates should be accompanied by a crossed Demand Draft drawn on any Scheduled Bank (preferable State Bank of India) for Rs.500/- in favor of Bharat Electronics Limited, Bangalore and SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from furnishing Demand Draft.

Candidates employed in Government / Quasi Government and Public Sector undertaking will be required to have their application forwarded through proper channel or produce No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.
