ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE
Online applications are invited for filling up the various posts at the University. Sale of Form commences on September 11, 2017. The call for forms is for the following teaching/non-teaching posts in the Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Ghandal, Shimla as per the following qualifications:

Qualifications:
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (As per the UGC Rules for appointment as amended from time to time).
(a) Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
(b)A Masters Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
(c)A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D.
research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.
(d) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology
mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students, as evidenced by Ph.D. thesis /co-authored books/publications in peer reviewed journals.
(e) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based
Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS).
Interview Procedure: (Teaching)
The interview at HPNLU is in two phases:
- (a) Reviewed by Students and Peer Group
Each candidate is required to make presentation on any topic in a class before students and teachers of the University including members of the Selection Committee.
The appraisal report of both groups i.e. teachers and students will be finally taken up by the members of the Selection Committee in combination with their earlier assessment (verbal interview) for final decision. The report shall mainly focus about candidates ability to handle classes and undertakes individual and group research including his knowledge about the subject.
- (b) Review by Selection Committee
Candidate will appear before a selection committee having Vice-Chancellor, three (03) subject experts along with Registrar member secretary. Candidate will be assessed on his area of teaching/research.
- 1.1 Final Selection
On the basis of the recommendation made by the Selection Committee and the approval of Vice-Chancellor, Registrar may issue appointment letters. All those who join will have to enter into an agreement of service and give a medical certificate about their present health condition.
- 2. FINANCE OFFICER
Age:- Preferably below 55 years.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
- a. Master degree with at-least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute.

- b. At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.7000/- and above or with eight years of service in the AGP of Rs.
8000/- and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in Educational Administration.
OR
Comparable experience in research establishment and / or other institutions of
higher education along with experience in educational administration.
OR
15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Finance
Officer/Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post along with an experience in educational finance administration.
Desirable:-
- 1. Well versed in the financial/accounting systems.
- 2. Experience in computer system finance/accounts related software handling for information processing and retrieval.
Officers working in Organized Accounts Services of GOVERNMENT OF
INDIA (Preferably from Indian Audit & Accounts Service) with similar status
will be given preference.
The application completed in all respects along with on-line payment of Rs. 1500/- should be filled on-line on or before 15th November, 2017.

General Instructions to the Candidates:
- 1. Applications should be submitted on the prescribed format only.
- 2. The candidates should submit their application along with fee of Rs. 1500/- (non-refundable) in the form of on-line payment mode.
- 3. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
- 4. Eligibility of a candidate and satisfaction of any other Short-listing criteria shall be considered as on the last date of the receipt for application.
- 5. Application fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
- 6. The University will not be responsible for postal delay in delivering the application forms to the candidates.
- 7. (i) Application after the last date, (ii) incomplete in any respect and(iii) any fresh paper / enclosures after closing date, shall not be considered.
- 8. The University shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at any time after the time of appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has a clandestine antecedents/background and has suppressed the said information, then his services shall be terminated.
- 9. The University reserves the right not to fill up any of the vacancies advertised if the circumstances so warrant. Any consequential vacancies arising at the time of interview may also be filled up from the available candidates. The number of positions is thus open to change.
- 10. Candidates should send self attested copies of certificates and mark-sheets from matriculation onwards in support of their qualifications. Originals should not be sent along with the application but these must be produced at the time of interview.
- 11. Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the minimum essential qualifications laid down in the advertisement.
- 12. No correspondence will be entertained from candidates regarding postal delays, conduct and result of interview and reasons for not being called for interview.
- 13. The prescribed qualifications and experience will be minimum and the mere fact that a candidate possessing the same will not entitle him for being called for interview. The University will have the right to restrict the candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed or by any other condition that may deem fit.
- 14. The Selection Committee, after considering the candidate for the post applied for may, if it is of the opinion that he or she will be suitable choice for the next lower post, make such recommendations.
