RECRUITMENT OF SUBSTAFF IN THE POST OF ARMED GUARD (FOR EX-SERVICEMEN ONLY)

Bank of Baroda, Zonal Office, Ahmedabad Zone, Bank of Baroda Towers, Near Law Garden, Ellisbridge, Ahmedabad 380006 invites applications from Ex-servicemen for filling up of following vacancies of Armed Guard in Subordinate cadre.

Abbreviations for reserved vacancies: SC Scheduled Caste, ST-Scheduled Tribe, OBC Other Backward Class, UR Unreserved.

# Finally selected candidates can be posted against vacancy anywhere in the state applied for, as per the administrative requirements of the Bank.

** Candidates belonging to SC category can also apply for unreserved vacancies. However, guidelines applicable to candidates belong to Unreserved category would apply.

Reservation shall be provided as per Govt. Guidelines.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Age (as on 20th December 2017) : Minimum 18 years Maximum 26 years.

Relaxation in upper age limit

Ex-servicemen	Actual period of service rendered in the Defence forces + 3 years subject to a maximum age limit of 45 years.

Clarification of the maximum age relaxation.

a. Unreserved candidates : 26 years + actual period of service rendered in the defence forces + 3 years subject to a maximum age limit of 45 years.

b. ST candidates : 26 years + 5 years + actual period of service rendered in the defence forces + 3 years subject to a maximum age limit of 45 years.

c. OBC candidates : 26 years + 3 years + actual period of service rendered in the defence forces + 3 years subject to a maximum age limit of 45 years.

Candidates seeking relaxation in age will be required to submit necessary certificate(s) in original/ copies at the time of online examination and at any subsequent stage of the recruitment process as required by the Bank.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT :-

Must be Ex-servicemen from Army/ Navy/ Air Force.

Character Good (minimum requirement).

Medical Standards Category A/ Shape-1 medical category at the time of retirement.

Must be physically fit to carry out duties of Armed Guard.

Physical Standards Must not be Physically Handicapped or incapacitated in a manner which will hamper performance of duties as a Bank Armed Guard.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

Minimum a pass in 10th standard examination or its equivalent as on 20th December 2017.

The candidate should be able to read and write in local vernacular language. Knowledge of English will be given added weightage.

APPLICATION FEES: Intimation Charges will be Rs.100/-.

METHOD OF PAYMENT:-

1. Online payment (Credit Card, Debit Card and Net Banking). Bank Transaction charges for online payment of application fees / intimation charges payable (on-line payment) will have to be borne by the candidates.

2. Offline Payment (Bank of Baroda Challan) On completion of the application on the online portal, it generates a pay-in slip/ Voucher/ Challan for payment of fees. Only this pay-in slip should be used for depositing the fees to enable the fees to be properly deposited to Banks account. Go to the nearest branch of Bank of Baroda with this pay-in slip and deposit the required amount in the branch using this auto generated pay-in slip only.

SALARY & ALLOWANCES

Basic Pay in the Time Scale (in Rs.) . 9560 - 325/4 10860 - 410/5 12910 - 490/4 14870 - 570/3 16580 -655/3 - 18545. The Dearness Allowance, HRA and other Allowances will be payable at applicable rates.

SELECTION PROCESS:

Selection will be only through the mode of examination (online). The structure of the examination which will be conducted online, is as follows :-

* 5% relaxation in marks has been factored in the required minimum qualifying marks, stipulated above, over and above the general standards.

The above tests except knowledge of English and Local language will be available bilingually i.e. English / Local Language.

Bank reserves the right to modify the structure of the examination which will be intimated through its website. Other detailed information regarding the examination will be given in an Information Handout, which will be sent to the candidates along with the call letter/ available for download from Banks website.

DISCLAIMER :

Instances for providing incorrect information and/or process violation by a candidate detected at any stage of the selection, process will lead to disqualification of the candidate from the selection process and he/she will not be allowed to appear for any exams of the Bank in future. If such instances go undetected during the current selection process but are detected subsequently, such disqualification will take place with retrospective affect. The Bank reserves the right to cancel the conduct of this recruitment process without assigning any reason.
