NOTICE

District Library Officer, PurbaBardhaman invites applicationsfrom eligible retired employees of Govt.Spond Public Libraries in West Bengal for Contractual engagement to the selected vacant post of Librarian (1) &Gr.D (1)ofTown Library and Librarian of Rural Library(11under the control of Local Library Authority,Bardhaman.

The eligibility criteria and terms and conditions of the engagement are as below:

i. Age:below the age of 65 years as on 01-01-2018

ii. Qualification:(a)Must be a retired librarian/ library Assistant of Govt. Sponsored Public Libraries in West Bengal for the post of Librarian of Rural Library (11) (b)Must be a retired librarian of Govt. Sponsored Town Libraries in West

Bengal for the post of Librarian of Town Library (1) (c)Must be a retired Gr-D of Govt. Sponsored Public Libraries in West Bengal for the post of Gr-D of Town Library (1)

iii. Period of engagement: The period of engagement of librarian in rural libraries/Town Library and Gr-D posts will befor 1(one) year from the date of appointment.

iv.
Remuneration:Remuneration of retired librarian shall be Rs.12,000/-for Town Library, Rs.10,000/-for Rural Library & Rs.8,000/-for Gr-D postsper month.
v.
Place of posting:Government Sponsored Town /Rural/Primary Unit/ Area Libraries of PurbaBardhaman District.

vi. Process of Application: Interested eligible retired employeescan apply as per Prescribed Application From and submit the same to the District Library Officer, PurbaBardhaman,69 ,B.C.Road , P.O-BardhamanDist : PurbaBardhaman-713101 in sealed envelope registered post mentioning Application for the post of ---------------in Town / Rural Library positively by 05-02-2018.

vii. Mode of Selection:Eligible retired Librarians and retired Gr-D employee will be selected on the basis of past servicerecords, Physical fitness mental alertness and interview to be conducted by the Selection Committee.

viii. Number of Vacancy:Librarian of Town Library (1), Librarian of Rural Library (11) and Gr-D post of Town Library ( 1)
