A Walk-in-Interview will be held in the Department of Food Engineering & Technology, Tezpur University, Napaam, Sonitpur, Assam - 784028 at 11.00 a.m. on 02/05/2018 for one (01) temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under DRDO sponsored research project entitled Value addition of banana flower using green technologies to develop combat food (No. LSRB-312/FSH-ABB/2017) under Professor Sankar Chandra Deka, Principal Investigator, Department of Food Engineering and Technology, Tezpur University, Assam.

Educational Qualification: First Class M.Tech. or M.Sc. with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate in Food Engineering & Technology / Food Technology / Food Science / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Life Science with NET / GATE. (M.Tech. is exempted from NET/GATE).

Fellowship: Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) only plus admissible HRA per month. HRA will not be provided if campus accommodation is availed.

Duration: Two (02) years or till completion of the project or until further order, whichever is earlier.

Age: Candidate shall not be more than 28 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed as per Government of India rules.

Interested candidates may appear before the interview board with original and self-attested photocopies of mark sheets, certificates from 10th standard onwards, testimonials, caste certificate (if applicable), certificate of NET/GATE or similar examination, any other testimonials and a copy of recent signed Curriculum Vitae (CV) on the day of interview. N.B. (1) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

(2) Those in employment or doing Ph.D. must submit No Objection Certificate from the concerned employer / Ph.D. Supervisor.
