1. In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani for the posts in professional colleges, Consultants in Directorate of Health Services and highly technical/scientific posts, the Goa Public Service Commission may recommend a candidate if otherwise found fit and this requirement can be relaxed by the Government, on the recommendation of the Goa Public Service Commission, if the Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do.
   
   
2. Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received is large, the Commission will short list the candidates to be called for interview as mentioned in the Instructions.
   
   

I. DIRECTORATE OF HIGHER EDUCATION

1. Assistant Professors in Government College:

(i)

Economics // 1 post (resvd for ST)

(ii)

Political Science // 1 post Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,000/-(pre-revised) (As per revised pay matrix level 10) Age: Not exceeding 45 years. Educational & Other Qualifications:-Essential: (i) Good !cademic record with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade at Masters Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. (ii) National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SET) shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professor: Provided, however, that candidates who are or have been awarded Ph. D. Degree in compliance of the University Grants ommission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph. D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of !ssistant Professor or equivalent positions in olleges. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Ph. D. or M. Phil. in the relevant subject. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.

II. GOA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

2. Principal/Head of the Institute // 1 post

Scale of Pay: Rs. 37,400-67,000+10,000/-and Special Allowance of Rs. 3000/-per month (pre-revised) Age: Not exceeding 50 years. (As per revised pay matrix level 14)

Educational & Other Qualifications:-Essential: (i) Ph. D. or equivalent from a recognized University in appropriate discipline. (Persons guiding Ph.D. students and having Post Ph. D. Publications is highly desirable). (ii) B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in relevant branch from a recognized University with First Class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. (iii) Minimum 10 years experience in teaching/research/industry out of which at least 3 years shall be at the level of Professor. OR (iii) Minimum 13 years experience in teaching and/or research and/or industry. Note: In case of research experience, good academic record and books/research paper publications/IPR/patents record shall be required as deemed fit by the expert members of the Selection Committee. If the experience in industry is considered, the same shall be at managerial level equivalent to Professor level with active participation record in devising/designing, developing, planning, executing, analyzing, quality control, innovating, training, technical books/research paper publications/IPR/patents, etc. as deemed fit by the expert members of the Selection Committee. Flair for Management and Leadership is essential. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Administrative experience in a responsible position. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.

III. OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER OF COMMERCIAL TAXES

3. Commercial Tax Officer // 16 posts [2 resvd for ST, 1 resvd for PH/PD (One Arm/One Leg/ Both Leg/One Arm

Educational & Other Qualifications:-Essential: (i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent, preferably in Commerce or Economics. (ii) Associates Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants OR 3 years experience in commercial accounts in a Government or a Semi-Government Organisation or in a Commercial or Banking firm or in a firm of Chartered Accountants. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Degree in Law of a recognized University or equivalent. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.

IV. GOA POLICE DEPARTMENT

4. Scientific Assistant in Forensic Science Laboratory (Polygraphy) // 1 post (2^nd time) Scale of Pay: Rs. 35,400-1,12,400/-(As per revised pay matrix level 6) Age: Not exceeding 45 years. Educational & Other Qualifications:- Essential (i) Masters Degree in Science/Masters Degree in !rts, with at least second class from a recognised University with specialization in the discipline of Psychology and (ii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Should be Computer literate. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.

V. DIRECTORATE OF TRIBAL WELFARE

5. Assistant Director // 1 post (2^nd time) Scale of Pay: Rs. 44,900-1,42,400/-(As per revised pay matrix level 7) Age: Not exceeding 45 years. Educational & Other Qualifications:- Essential: (i) Masters Degree in Social Service or Social Welfare or Social Work or Sociology or Psychology from a recognised University or equivalent. (ii) Five years experience of Social Work in any Social Welfare Organisation recognised by the Government. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
