Advertisement for the Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in research project entitled Development of Image Retrieval Methods for Biomedical and Health Informatics in reference to the sanction letter File No. SERB/DST/ECR/2017/000082 dated: 10.07.2017 by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology, NewDelhi-110070. Project Title: Development of Image Retrieval Methods for Biomedical and Health Informatics Name of Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Number of Position: 01 (one) Project Duration: Three (2.5) Years Essential Qualifications: M.E/M.Tech/MCA in Computer/Electronics/Electrical with specialization in Computer Vision, Image Processing and Machine Learning. Desirable Qualifications: (i) Knowledge of Image Retrieval and Medical Images.

(ii) Exposure of Python, MATLAB programming and OpenCV Libraries. (iv) The preference may be given to the candidates who published papers in repute Journals/Conferences.

Fellowship: 25,000/-pm (Fixed) for one and half years and 28,000/-pm (Fixed) for last year.

  1. The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information, other documents and photographs submitted.

  2. The Institute reserves the right to accept application at any time, and consider candidates of exceptional credentials without applications. Qualification and experience may be relaxed at any point of time for exceptional candidates.

  3. Mere, possessing the prescribed qualification does not ensure that the candidate would be called for Interview. The Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit and need of the project.

  4. Shortlisted Candidates will be informed by e-mail about the interview date. So, the candidate must provide valid E-mail IDs in their applications.

  5. Shortlisted candidates have to present themselves for the interview on the interview date with updated CV and original and attested photocopies of mark sheets/certificates in support of their academic qualifications.

  6. Applicants in employment (private, government or any other organization) are required to submit a No Objection Certificate from the employer at the time of interview.

  7. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview. Skype based interview will be allowed in exceptional conditions.

  8. The first and foremost responsibility of the candidate is to fulfil the jobs requirements to complete the above mentioned project in timely manner.

  9. The association between PI and the candidate can be discontinued at any time by giving one months notice in writing either by the PI of the project to candidate, or by candidate to the PI of the project.

  10. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program in IIIT Sricity, provided they satisfy the eligibility criterion followed by selection process laid down by the institute.

  11. After qualifying the PhD admission / selection test the candidate will be registered as regular PhD scholar and eligible to draw the fellowship and other allowances as per the Institute rules.

  12. The candidates who have already applied for the PhD admission in IIIT Sricity for Jan/July 2017-2018 batch and willing to join as JRF are required to complete the application form (annexure-I) and send to srdubey@iiits.in.
