Job Description

This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting records in line with guidelines issued for educational Institutions by MHRD.

Job Responsibilities

Development and maintenance of internal control policies and procedures

Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting section

Align chart of Accounts in line with MHRD formats

Monitor grants from MHRD and Govt of A.P

Preparation of Revenue and Capital budgets

Coding of research projects

Maintaining Fixed Assets Registers and periodical verification of physical assets

Ensure an accurate and timely closing of monthly, quarterly and yearly accounts

Co-ordinating with other sections to ensure clean and timely year-end audit

Management reporting, cash flow monitoring etc.,

Ensure timely accounting of all transaction in TALLY

Coordinating with faculty for proper management of research projects

The position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including prepartion and filing of timely Income Tax Returns, preparation of financial statements in accordance with the MHRD format.

Coordinating with CAG audit team and Internal Auditors

Any other responsibilities as delegated by the Management

Skills and Experience

Candidate must be a Chartered or Cost Accountant with at least 10 years of relevant experience in preparing financial accounts, budgets, variance analysis, management reports, taxation etc.

Must have worked in senior position in Finance & Accounts for minimum 3 years in a Centrally Funded Institution or Institution of Excellence (Preferable)

Candidate should be around 42-45 years of age, fit and active.

Grade: G3 Type of role: Full Time Location: Sri City, AP Compensation: On par with IITs pay scale Start Date: Immediate/a.s.a.p.
