Job Description The Software Development Team Lead will be part of an agile development team, building and working on enterprise grade software systems in JAVA/J2EE technology development stack. The Senior Software Engineer Team Lead will provide technical and team leadership through coaching and mentorship. Duties and Responsibilities Reporting to the Faculty Project Coordinator, the duties and responsibilities of the Senior Software Engineer - Team Lead includes:

Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery.

Provide technical leadership to team mates through coaching and mentorship.

Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.

To prepare estimates and work plans.

Prepare reports, manuals and other technical documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.

Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.

Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.

Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.

Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.

To help the faculty coordinator for the effective team management and smooth delivery of the projects.

Experience: Should have 8-10 years of solid post qualification experience on developing web applications using Java/ J2EE/Struts technology environment with project management experience. Core Competency Requirements

Strong knowledge on OO design and programming skills in Java (J2EE/ Struts)

Common Understanding of other compiled languages Experience on web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)

Good understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery and Ajax

Experience with automated testing Experience with agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum Experience with multi-threading and concurrency

Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization

Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories

Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment

Strong communication skills with both internal team members and external stakeholders

Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes

Strong Knowledge in using version control (e.g. SVN)

Project Management Experience

The experience prescribed should be the post qualification experience. Only the selected candidates with relevant qualification and experience only will be shortlisted.
