ADVERTISEMENT FOR POSITION OF SENIOR CONSULTANTS/CONSULTANTS IN STATISTICS

School of Sciences invites applications from candidates for the position of 4 consultants (2 senior and 2 consultants) in Statistics on pure ad-hoc basis. The nature of work primarily involves activity pertaining to development of self instructional materials in courses in B.Sc. under the new UGC-CBCS. The candidates must have the following qualifications:

For Senior Consultants:

M.Sc. degree in Statistics/Applied Statistics/Agriculture Statistics with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC without creamy layer/differently abled) and Ph.D. /NET qualified in respective field as per UGC guidelines and minimum of 10 years of Statistics teaching experience at undergraduate/postgraduate level.

For Consultants:

M.Sc. degree in Statistics/Applied Statistics/Agriculture Statistics with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC without creamy layer/differently abled) and NET qualified/Ph.D. in respective field as per UGC guidelines and minimum of 5-7 years of Statistics teaching experience at undergraduate/postgraduate level.

Maximum age limit for the above mentioned post is 69 years as on the date of advertisement.

The selection will initially be for a period of six months and may be extended for six months based on the performance. The remuneration shall be Rs 50,000/ to Rs 70,000/ per month for Senior Consultants and Rs 40,000/ to Rs 60,000/ per month for Consultants.

The post is purely ad-hoc basis and the selected candidate will have no right whatsoever for absorption/regularization in the University
