Application are invited from eligible candidates for the positions of two full time Senior Consultants and one Academic Associate/Project Associate cum Cartographer purely on adhoc basis for Discipline of Geography, School of Sciences, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi 110068.

The term of engagement is initially for a period of six months, which may be extended up to two years on the basis of satisfactory performance and as per requirement of the School. University can discontinue / terminate / curtail the services of the Senior Consultant and Academic Associate cum Cartographer by giving a notice period of 1 (one) month. The educational qualification, experience and eligibility conditions and remuneration for the posts are given below:-

Two Senior Consultants (One in Physical Geography and One in Human Geography)	Rs. 50,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- (Consolidated per month) As per recommendation of Selection Committee	Qualification: M.Sc. /M.A. in Geography with a minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of reserved categories as per University guidelines for faculty recruitment). Desirable: Ph.D. Experience: Ten (10) years of teaching at UG/PG Level in the streams of Human Geography or Physical Geography respectively. Age Limit: Maximum 69 years.
Academic Associate/ Project Associate cum Cartographer	Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 50,000/- (Consolidated per month) As per recommendation of Selection Committee	Qualification: M.Sc. /M.A. in Geography or other related disciplines of Earth Sciences with minimum 55% marks (50% in case of reserved categories a per University guidelines). Desirable: i) Work experience in computer cartography with good quality output of digital maps and diagrams, ii) Experience of creating digital database with Remote Sensing and GIS Experience: Proven record of cartographic skill. Age Limit: Maximum 69 years.

Nature of Work:-

The nature of work would primarily involve activities pertaining to development of academic courses / programmes in Geography Discipline, as per suggestion of discipline group.
