Minimum Eligibility Criteria

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TEACHER EDUCATION

Assistant Professor : ( For Serial No. 1 )
1. First Class in MCA Degree

OR

BE/ B. Tech and ME/ M. Tech in relevant subject with First Class or equivalent either in BE/ B. Tech or ME/ M. Tech.

OR

BE/ B. Tech and MCA with First Class or equivalent in either BE/ B. Tech or MCA.

Note: Any other qualification stipulated by UGC.

Assistant Professor : ( For Serial No. 2 )
1. Master Degree in any discipline with not less than 55% of marks.
2. Master Degree in special education with not less than 55% of marks or an equivalent grade of B+ in 10 Point scale of UGC.

OR

An Equivalent degree from a Foreign University recognized by RCI.

Note:

1) Valid registration with RCI u/s 19 of RCI Act, 1992 is essential. RCI as Statutory Regulatory Body prescribes 50% as per the UGC Regulations Gazette Dt. September 18, 2010 Section 1.1.1
2) Any other qualification stipulated by UGC/ NCTE.

Preference:

1) Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology candidate will be preferred.
Assistant Professor ( For Serial No. 3 )
1. Master Degree in any discipline with not less than 55% of marks.
2. Master Degree in special education (Learning Disability) with not less than 55% of marks or an equivalent grade of B+ in 10 Point scale of UGC.

OR

An Equivalent degree from a Foreign University recognized by RCI.

2. M. Sc. with Mathematics with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
3. Ph. D. in Mathematics (According to UGC minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph. D. Degree, Regulations-2009) or NET/ SLET/ SET cleared in Mathematics.

GENERAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTION TO CANDIDATES

Please read the instructions given below carefully before applying

GENERAL INSTRUCTION

1. Application in Five Copies must reach University office on or before Dt.02/04/2018.
2. The candidate must satisfy qualification, experience and age limit criteria on the last date of receiving application.
3. The Applicant must ensure that applicant fulfils the eligibility conditions for the post.
4. Candidates should enclose attested copies of certificates as proof of the evidence of Age, Educational Qualifications, Category, Experience, etc.
5. Candidates who are desirous of applying for more than one post will have to submit separate prescribed application form for each post with separate application fee and documents.
6. The University shall verify the antecedents and documents submitted by a candidate at the time of appointment or during the tenure of the service at any time. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has undesirable clandestine antecedents/ background and has suppressed the said information, then his services are liable to be terminated.
7. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be detected at any stage even after the issue of appointment letter, the University reserves the right to modify/withdraw/ cancel any communication made to the candidate.
8. The reservations policy of age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWDs/Ex-Serviceman shall be as per Govt. of Gujarat/UGC norms.
9. Relaxation of 5% of the marks at Master Degree level will be given to SC/ST/ SEBC candidate.
10. The qualifications and other conditions prescribed in the present advertisement are subject to regulations/norms stipulated by the University/UGC/NCTE from time to time.
11. The Selected candidate shall, during his probation period, be required to pass qualifying examination for computer knowledge in accordance with provisions of the Gujarat Civil Services Computer Competency Training and Examination Rules, 2006.
12. The prescribed qualifications and experience are minimum and the mere fact that a candidate possesses the same will not entitle him/her for being called for interview.
13. The University reserves the right to restrict the candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed as decided by duly constituted Screening Committee/s and approved by the Competent Authority. Call letters for attending interview will be sent only to the short-listed candidates by Post or E-mail. No correspondence will be made with applicants who are not short-listed/not called for interview.
14. Canvassing in any form on behalf of any candidate will disqualify the candidate.
15. Candidates already in service must submit their applications (hard copy/print out) through proper channel. However an advance copy could be sent directly to IITE before last date of receiving application. If the Original Application Through Proper Channel has not been received by the University, the applicant will have to submit No Objection Certificate from his/ her employer to the University at the time of Interview.
16. Applications incomplete in any respect will not receive any consideration at all.
17. The duly filled in online Application (for each post separate application with separate Demand Draft) shall be submitted by the applicant so as to reach the University on or before the due date mentioned in this Advertisement.
18. Candidates belonging to General and SEBC category are require to submit Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- along with the application and candidates belonging to S.C./S.T. category are require to submit Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- along with the application. Demand Draft should be in favor of Registrar, Indian Institute of Teacher Education, payable at Gandhinagar.
19. Please write Name of the post applied for and applicants name with full postal address on the back of the Demand Draft.
20. Duly Filled online application in all respect in an envelope [please write on the top-left side of the envelope the Name of the post] should be forwarded to the Registrar, Indian Institute of Teacher Education Ramkrishna Paramhans Shaikshanik Sankul, KH Road, Sector-15, Gandhinagar - 382016 Gujarat, India by registered/ Speed post/ Courier/ By Hand on or before the last date given in the advertisement.
21. Candidates will have to appear for the Interview at their own expenses.
22. Documentary proof in support of previous experience and academic qualifications indicated in the application should invariably be sent along with the application, failing which it will be considered that you do not possess the experience and qualifications mentioned therein and the application shall be treated as incomplete and rejected.
23. A recent pass-port size photograph signed by you should be pasted on the application in the space provided thereof.
24. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED
25. The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all posts.
26. Candidates should clearly state the category to which they belong. They should also submit a Certificate issued by the designated competent authority as proof of caste/physical disability status without which the applications will not be considered.
27. SEBC Candidates should submit an attested copy of caste certificate specifically mentioning Recent Creamy Layer-exclusion in the format prescribed by Government and issued by competent authority.
28. Candidates must attach University recognition letter from concern university along with their experience certificate with application otherwise their experience will not count.
29. Woman Reservation will apply as per Govt. Of Gujarat Notification No.: GS/2012/12/CRR/1096/2213/G-2, Dtd. 14/06/2012 & Notification No. : CRR/ 1096/2213/G-2, Dtd. 11/11/2014.

Instruction for Filling Online Application Form:

Online Application Form is divided into 16 steps (For Associate Professor) / 12 Steps (For Assistant Professor)
The system uniquely identifies you through Aadhaar No., Email & Mobile No. You will be asked to provide these details in beginning only. Besides these details, the system asks you to choose Type of application. Select New, if you have not submitted any information. Select Existing, otherwise. On filling up these details, the system shall verify you by sending you an email containing OTP which you need to enter in next stage.
The form is collecting detailed information which is hard to fill in single sitting. Hence, you can save form at any stage. Your form will not be submitted unless you reach the final step and explicitly submit it. Your submitted details shall be stored in database and you can resume the submission next day as well. The next time you come back to system, the system shall again ask you Aadhaar No., Email & Mobile No. and Application Type where you should select Existing. Every time you come back to the system, you need to identify yourself by entering an OTP.
You cannot move to next step unless you will all information in previous steps
After submitting the form at Step 16 (For Associate Professor) / 12 (For Assistant Professor), the system shall generate a unique Application No which will be displayed to you and communicated to you via email. Please note that you CAN NOT modify the application details once submitted. Please verify all entered information by clicking on View Application button before submitted.
You should have your recent passport photo in soft format with you. The photo must at least be 400 pixels in width and 500 pixels in height. The size of file must not exceed 2 MB.
The application requires you to upload your scanned signature. The size of signature file must not exceed 300 KB.
