WALK-IN INTERVIEW Eligible candidates are invited to attend WALK-IN INTERVIEW on the following date for the post sanctioned under ICMR Multicentric National Task force project entitled Prevalence and Epidemiological study of hearing impairment under Department of ENT on the 21st of March 2017. The essential qualifications, experience, consolidated salary and service tenure are as under:

Project Duration	:	Project duration is 2 years. Initial appointment will be on contract basis for 3 months and based on performance extended for further 3 months. Following this each contract period will be for 6 months and renewed till completion of project.
Brief Description about the Project	:	Epidemiologic study of prevalence of hearing impairment in a Eastern Indian region.
Resource Requirement	:	One
Education	:	MASLP / MSc (Audiology)/BSc (Audiology)
Experience	:	Applicants with experience in research and community work and having computer literacy shall be preferred.
Key Skills	:	Ability to perform Pure tone audiometry, Free field audiometry, Tympanometry, Otoacoustic emission, Auditory Brain Stem Response.
Job Title	:	Audiologist
Location	:	AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, Odisha
Proposed Salary	:	Rs.29,607/-including HRA and NPA (Rupees Twenty nine thousand six hundred seven only)
Core Responsibilities	:	Hearing screening in the field (House to House) followed by detailed evaluation of hearing capacity.
Specific Activities	:	Train field workers to perform a questionnaire based hearing screening Perform hearing screening house to house during the survey Perform detailed Audiological examination in an acoustically treated minibus in the field Perform speech rehabilitation Set up and co-ordinate a parental training program for children with hearing impairment Hearing aid dispensing and programming Customise ear moulds Perform real ear measurements
Date of interview	:	21st of March 2017 Reporting Time : 2.00 PM to 2.30 PM (Academic Block) Interview Time : 3.00 PM to 5.00 PM

1. These are tenure vacancies under funded project and are not employment on AIIMS Bhubaneswar pay roll. Employment will automatically terminate upon completion of the project and there is no liability for permanent employment on AIIMS, Bhubaneswar or Principal Investigator. Also the candidates have no right to claim permanent employment based on this job.
   
   
2. Selected candidates have to carry out extensive touring and collect data in field.
