IIM Calcutta invites applications for faculty positions in emerging areas of Information Systems and Technology
INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT CALCUTTA (IIMC), the first management Institute in India to get Triple Crown (i.e., accredited by AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS), invites applications for Faculty Positions in its Management Information Systems (MIS) Group with expertise in the emerging areas of Information Technology and Systems, which include Data Science, Business Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), Enterprise Systems, E-commerce & Mobile Commerce, E-governance, ICT for Development, Social Media Analytics, Machine Learning, Industry 4.0, Decision Support System, Information Security, and allied fields.
The MIS Group comprises active multidisciplinary researchers and teachers from diverse backgrounds. The Group addresses challenges of information technology and systems through high quality academic research, teaching, case writing, executive training, and consultancy. The faculty members are associated with externally funded projects in the areas of Social Media Analytics, e-Governance, e-Health, Data Analytics, High Performance Computing, etc.
Eligibility: Candidates should have significant research output and good teaching record. All candidates must have a doctoral degree in a relevant field (with a first class in the preceding degree) as the minimum qualifying criteria. Preference would be given to young candidates at the level of Assistant Professor. Fresh Ph.D. candidates should be able to demonstrate their research and publication potential. Candidates with proven track records of publications in reputed peer reviewed journals commensurate with the rank would be preferred.
Job Description: A faculty member is required to teach core and elective courses in various programs (at post-graduate and doctoral levels) as well as conduct high quality research. Other responsibilities include consulting, training and academic administration.
